✈️ UK – Kuala Lumpur (2 nights): After your direct flight from your chosen UK airport to Malaysia’s capital, Kuala Lumpur (KL), you’ll spend two nights in this vibrant yet relaxed city, where gleaming skyscrapers rise above bustling night markets. Petaling Street, KL’s Chinatown, is always lively day and night, offering bargain shopping and some of Malaysia’s best street food. For a bird’s-eye view of the city, head up the iconic Petronas Twin Towers, and for a cultural highlight visit the giant limestone Batu Caves on the edge of the city, home to impressive Hindu shrines and a towering golden statue of Lord Murugan.
✈️ Kuala Lumpur – Penang (5 nights): You’ll then fly to the island of Penang, located off Malaysia’s west coast, for five nights of beach relaxation, heritage and incredible cuisine. Penang is renowned for its outstanding local food, so be sure to visit the night markets and try the famous street hawker dishes. Spend time exploring the island’s colonial capital, George Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its colourful shophouses, street art and temples. With five nights here, you’ll have ample opportunity to relax on the beaches, unwind by the pool or enjoy nature activities such as exploring Penang Hill or the Botanical Gardens.
✈️ Penang – Ho Chi Minh (3 nights): You’ll then fly to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, still often referred to as Saigon, where you’ll spend three nights exploring this fascinating mix of old and new. Once the capital of South Vietnam, it’s now a fast-paced metropolis filled with markets, French colonial landmarks and modern skyscrapers. Visit the bustling Binh Tay Market to try local dishes and shop for souvenirs, explore historic temples and the ornate Notre-Dame Cathedral, and take a guided tour to learn about Vietnam’s turbulent past. For a change of pace, enjoy a cruise along the Mekong River, passing rice paddies, floating markets and riverside villages.
🚗 Ho Chi Minh – Phan Thiet (4 nights): We’ll then drive you to the coastal town of Phan Thiet, a lively fishing port famed for its colourful boats, fresh seafood and beautiful beaches. Spend four nights here relaxing along the golden sands or exploring the surrounding landscapes. The nearby Red Sand Dunes are a must-see, as their desert-like terrain makes the perfect setting for sand-sledging or a thrilling dune buggy ride. When you’re not soaking up the sun, explore the local markets, sample the excellent seafood restaurants or stroll along the harbour as the fishing boats return with their daily catch. After your stay, we’ll drive you back to Ho Chi Minh for your flight home.
✈️ Ho Chi Minh – UK: On your final day, we’ll collect you from your hotel and transfer you to the airport for your flight back to the UK.
