Description

Location: The resort is located on Palm Island, a 135-acre stunningly beautiful private island in the Grenadines, located about ten minutes away from Union Island and accessible by the resort’s boat. It is the southernmost of all the Grenadine islands but in an ideal location to visit the neighbouring islands, whether that is for a quick lobster lunch at Petit St Vincent or a day’s snorkelling the Tobago Cays.  The resort itself boasts 3 coral reefs, with sparklingly clear waters and 5 powder-fine beaches.  Aside from its abundant marine life, the island is awash with other wildlife, from ground lizards to iguanas and over 2000 coconut palm trees, and wherever you turn, you will feel fully immersed in the wonderfully unspoiled nature of the island.  Nature is clearly very important here, and the resort works hard to maintain its status as a Green Globe Certified Hotel.

Facilities: If lolling on the pristine beach listening to the waves lapping the shore or sinking into a sumptuous sun lounger next to the freshwater pool is not relaxation enough, you can also indulge in some R&R at the report’s beach spa and wellness centre which offers a variety of treatments.  For something a bit more vigorous, make use of the resort’s non-motorised equipment for snorkelling, sunfish sailing, catamarans, windsurfing, cycling, and kayaking – or try your hand at the pitch and putt ‘island-style’ golf course. If you need to burn off last night’s cocktails, you can work up a sweat at the fitness centre, the tennis court (balls and rackets provided) or find your zen at the beach pavilion with some yoga or mediation. Take advantage of the resort’s local experts on one of the fascinating nature trails and guided walking tours.

Bars and Restaurants: The resort offers an all-inclusive package which includes a la carte dining and some premium brand drinks. This package includes breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, hors d’oeuvres and dinner. All the menus are expertly and freshly prepared using local produce, including the daily catch of the day and homegrown vegetables and herbs. Whilst there are two restaurants on the resort, guests are also encouraged to experience the surroundings of the island in one of the private dining locations, whether that be in the gazebo, under the beach pergola, or under a heart-shaped tree. The Royal Palm restaurant is open for breakfast lunch and grill and offers an extensive buffet and a la carte dining. The Sunset Grill, located beachside, conjures up local Caribbean and international dishes.

Accommodation: This boutique hotel has a total of 45 rooms and suites plus 3 villas.  Choose from Palm View rooms with garden or pool views or Beachfront rooms with direct ocean views.  For a further upgrade, consider a luxury suite or a 2 or 3 bedroomed villa, which come with their own golf cart for getting around the resort.  The decor is luxuriously inspired by the Caribbean, featuring warm, earthy tones and natural materials.
