Day 1 Heathrow to Nairobi: Fly overnight from Heathrow to Nairobi, Kenya.

Day 2 Arusha: You will take your onward flight to Kilimanjaro airport in Tanzania, near Arusha and then be transferred to your accommodation, Serena Mountain Village (approx. 45 minutes) to enjoy a restful night’s sleep before your safari adventure begins.

Day 3 Lake Manyara: In the morning, after breakfast, you will be driven to Lake Manyara National park (approx. 2 hours and 30 minutes) the home of the famous tree-climbing lions. You will stay at the Lake Manyara Safari Lodge, with its breath-taking views over Lake Manyara and traditional, spacious rooms where you can relax before the afternoon’s game drive.

Day 4 & 5 Serengeti (2 nights):
Day 4: You will be driven to the spectacular Serengeti National Park (approx. 5 hours) fitting in some well-deserved game-viewing on the way. You will arrive at your accommodation: the Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge. Situated on a ridge and blending almost seamlessly into its surroundings, the lodge rooms comprise of two-storey traditional ‘rondavels’ which are dotted throughout the grounds with their own balcony looking out onto magnificent landscape of the Serengeti plains.
Day 5: Take an early morning game drive before breakfast, or alternatively take a balloon flight over the Serengeti (optional extra) with a ‘bubbly’ breakfast to follow. There will be another game drive in the afternoon to enjoy.

Day 6 & 7 Ngorongoro (2 nights):
Day 6: You will be taken to the Ngorongoro Crater (approx. 4 hours) stopping briefly at the remarkable pre-historic Olduvai Gorge en route. Your lodge for the next two nights will be at the Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge which is ideally situated on the rim of the Crater.
Day 7: You will be driven down to the floor of the crater for a half-day’s game viewing, hopefully spotting some if not all of the ‘Big Five’. Afterwards, if time permits, you will be taken to a local Masai village.

Day 8 Ngorongoro to Heathrow (or extension): You will return to Arusha (approx. 3.5 hours) where you will enjoy lunch before being transferred to the airport for your Nairobi flight. From here you will either return home to Heathrow or proceed with a beach extension of your choice. (If you choose to go to Zanzibar for a beach extension, you can fly direct from Arusha). For extensions to the Masai Mara you will stay overnight in Nairobi and take a flight in the morning to the Masai Mara where you will stay for two nights at your chosen lodge or camp before returning via light aircraft to Nairobi.
