✈️ UK – Mombasa (3 nights): A warm welcome to Kenya awaits. Transfer to your beach resort, your Indian Ocean-side base for the start and end of your journey. Spend the next few days soaking up the sunshine – relax by the pool, stroll along golden sands, or try out some water sports.
🚗 Mombasa – Taita Hills Sanctuary (1 night): Leave the coast behind as you journey inland with your driver-guide to the scenic Taita Hills Sanctuary. This private reserve is home to elephants, lions and an array of colourful birdlife, set against lush, green hills. After an afternoon game drive, check into the unique Sarova Salt Lick Lodge, a striking stilted retreat overlooking floodlit waterholes that attract wildlife day and night. Relax with dinner and take in the unforgettable views as animals gather below.
🚗 Taita Hills – Tsavo West National Park (1 night): After breakfast, set off for the short drive to Tsavo West National Park, one of Kenya’s most scenic reserves. Its landscape of rolling plains, rocky ridges and volcanic hills provides a striking backdrop for elephants, lions and an abundance of birdlife. Arrive at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge, where you’ll enjoy lunch before heading out on an afternoon game drive. Later, unwind over dinner or a drink as wildlife gathers at the lodge’s floodlit waterhole.
🚗 Tsavo West – Tsavo East National Park (2 nights): Begin the day with an early morning game drive, followed by a bush breakfast served out in the wild. After returning to the lodge, continue your journey into Tsavo East National Park, Kenya’s largest and oldest reserve. Cross the plains and spot wildlife along the way, with highlights including Mudanda Rock, where elephants often gather, and the impressive Yatta Plateau, one of the world’s longest lava flows. Arrive at Ashnil Aruba Lodge, set beside a tranquil dam that draws animals throughout the day. Enjoy dinner and relax as you watch the wildlife come and go from this peaceful setting.
Spend the next day exploring the park on early morning and afternoon game drives. Keep your eyes peeled for elephants, lions, cheetahs, buffalo and an incredible range of birdlife. As the sun sets, return to your lodge for dinner and one final night beneath the stars of the African bush.
🚗 Tsavo National Park – Mombasa (4 nights): Say farewell to the savannah as you return to the coast for the final days of your holiday. Unwind by the beach, take a boat trip, or simply reflect on the incredible memories made during this once-in-a-lifetime family adventure.
✈️ Mombasa – UK: On your final day, transfer to Mombasa Airport for your flight home – filled with memories of Africa’s wildlife, warmth and wonder.
