Explore the historic centre, home to grand colonial buildings and lively plazas, and marvel at the Palacio de Bellas Artes and the bustling Zócalo. If you get chance, take a trip to step back in time at Teotihuacan, where you can climb ancient temples and gaze across a landscape once ruled by powerful civilisations. Also wandering through Coyoacán, a leafy, artistic neighbourhood filled with colourful markets, charming cafés and the famous Frida Kahlo Museum is a must.
✈️ Mexico City – Zihuatanejo (7 nights): Swap city buzz for coastal tranquillity as you fly to Zihuatanejo, a serene Pacific gem known for its calm bays, golden sands and authentic, small-town charm. This is the place to slow down — where boutique beachfront hotels, family-run seafood restaurants and palm-lined beaches create a wonderfully relaxed setting. Spend your days swimming in gentle waters, wandering the peaceful waterfront promenade or browsing local craft markets. For something livelier, head to neighbouring Ixtapa for watersports and a broader choice of restaurants. You can also take boat trips to secluded beaches, snorkel in sheltered coves or hike to panoramic viewpoints that overlook the bay. As evening falls, enjoy a laid-back dinner by the ocean while the sky glows with Pacific sunsets.
✈️ Zihuatanejo – UK: At the end of your journey, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight home, bringing your Mexican adventure to a perfect close.
