🚢 Buenos Aires – Montevideo (2 nights): Our Buenos Aires, Rio & Falls itinerary skips this stop, but it’s well worth spending 2-nights in Uruguay’s capital of Montevideo, which you’ll reach by scenic ferry. Whether you’re cycling the waterfront Rambla esplanade, browsing El Centro’s culture or capturing the splendid light in the Old Town, you’ll feel this city’s unique fusion of European and African heritages. Expect splashes of colonial colour, Gothic marvels, magnificent squares and atmospheric port markets. Stroll the 19 de Julio Avenue, visit the Palacio Salvo and join the bronzed bodies on Playa Ramirez or Pocitos’ beaches. Montevideo – Iguazú Falls (3 nights): Iguazú Falls is the destination for 275 crashing waterfalls that are taller (and wider) than Niagara Falls and you’ll reach here by catching the ferry back to Buenos Aires and then flying direct to Iguazú.
