✈️ UK – Kuala Lumpur (3 nights): After your direct flight from your chosen UK airport to Malaysia’s capital, Kuala Lumpur (KL), you’ll have three nights in this relaxed and cosmopolitan city where you can explore its night markets, glittering skyscrapers and ornate temples. Petaling Street, the city’s lively Chinatown, is always bustling day and night and, along with its bargain shopping, it’s the perfect place to sample Malaysia’s famous street food. Visit the giant limestone Batu Caves on the edge of the city, and for a bird’s-eye view of KL head to the top of the iconic Petronas Twin Towers.
✈️ Kuala Lumpur – Borneo (4 nights): You’ll then fly to the island of Borneo for four nights, where you can either stay in the state capital of Kuching or deep in the Permai Rainforest. Staying in Kuching allows you to explore the city’s colonial architecture, temples and museums, as well as visit the nearby orangutan sanctuaries — a rare opportunity to see these gentle creatures roaming freely in their natural habitat. Alternatively, immerse yourself in the heart of the jungle at the Permai Rainforest Eco Resort, where you can enjoy the peace and beauty of the rainforest, or take part in activities such as trekking, kayaking and high-rope courses beneath the jungle canopy.
✈️ Borneo – Penang (7 nights): Next, you’ll take a flight to Penang, located off Malaysia’s west coast, for a week of beach relaxation, cultural exploration and culinary delights. Spend your days unwinding on the beaches or by the pool, and if you’re feeling active, there are plenty of water sports and nature-based excursions to enjoy. The island’s capital, George Town, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with colonial architecture, temples and mosques well worth exploring. Penang is also renowned for its outstanding local cuisine — head to Batu Ferringhi Beach, which comes alive at night with open-air restaurants and vibrant markets.
✈️ Penang – UK: On your final day, we’ll transfer you back to the airport for your flight home to the UK.
