4 Nights – Kyoto
1 Night – Tokyo
✈ UK – Tokyo (3 nights): On your arrival in Tokyo you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel located in the Asakusa district where, with its market stalls and traditional inns, you’ll get an insight into the old Tokyo. With 3 nights here you will be able to explore this ultra-modern city as well as its’ ancient past. You will have one day with a guided tour to show you around, destinations will include a visit to the beautiful Meji Shrine, then onto the modern Tokyo with its landmark towers and flagship stores, before visiting Sensoji, the city’s oldest temple. You’ll cruise down the Sumida River and wander around Edo period Japanese gardens. You’ll also have plenty of free time though to explore for yourself; why not visit the food markets, experience the hectic Shibuya crossing and don’t miss the Imperial Palace either.
🚂 Tokya – Hakone (1 Night): You will then travel by train onto the mountainous Hakone National Park in the shadow of Mount Fuji. Hakone is the ultimate urban escape where you can slow down and enjoy some traditional Japanese pastimes in a beautiful natural setting. Here you can ride the ropeway over the hot springs and volcanic area to the top of Mt. Owakudani and take a cruise across Ashinoko Lake. At the end of the day you’ll have earnt a restful soak in an Onsen hot spring. Staying in a traditional Japanese Inn you’ll feel you’ve been transported back to the Edo period with the sliding doors, rice paper screens and tatami mats!
🚂 Hakone – Kyoto (4 Nights): Onto Kyoto, the ‘City of Ten Thousand Shrines’ where you will have 4 nights to take in the ancient splendour of this stunning city, famous for its’ temples and shrines. On the first day you will again have a guide to escort you to the stunning Sanjus Angendo temple famous for its 1001 statues. You’ll then visit the Kyoto National Museum and the Chishakuin Temple with its lush gardens.
The following day you can explore more of this former Imperial capital including Gion, the home to Kyoto’s elusive Geisha as well as the Fushimi Inari Shrine with over 10,000 red tori gates. The narrow shopping street of Kyoto’s kitchen is also well worth a visit.
🚂 Kyoto – Tokyo (1 Night): You’ll then return to Tokyo for your last day where you will stay in the vibrant Shinjuku district and can enjoy dinner in one of the ultra-chic restaurants in the area or sing the night away in a karaoke bar!
✈ Tokyo – UK: The next day you’ll travel to the airport for your flight back to the UK.

I booked two holidays in 4 months with Dave at eshores. First one a 16 day trip around Vietnam north to south which included numerous flights and taxis. My second holiday was in October traveling around Vietnam again and Cambodia. Every hotel in both countries was spot on, every transfer went smooth with no problems. I'll Definitely use eshores again and thanks to Dave who arranged everything, a fantastic experience 👍👍

Recently booked a four centre holiday to Asia. The process was straightforward and seamless. Rob, the agent who dealt with our requirements was extremely helpful and not pushy. He was very easy to talk with and seemed genuinely interested in our plans. He managed to put together exactly what we wanted and at a great price.
