Description

Location: Castello di Spaltenna is located in the Tuscan countryside on the outskirts of Gaiole in Chianti. It is approximately 30 minutes from Siena and an hour from Florence. It is very close to the renowned towns of the Chianti Classico wine region such as Radda, Panzano, Castellina, Greve and Castelnuovo Berardenga. The transfer time from Pisa airport is 2 ½ hours.

Facilities: The hotel is equipped with two pools, one outdoor (with a waterfall) and one indoor (which is heated in the winter). There is also a tennis court, arcade/games room, gym, sauna and Turkish bath. The hotel is set in well-kept lawn terraces. The hotel staff can also arrange horse-riding locally.

Bars and Restaurants: For lunch there is ‘La Terrazza’ which serves simple, light dishes with a wide selection of Chianti wines. For a romantic evening meal, ‘Il Pievano’ serves candlelit dinners in the courtyard.
