Itinerary

UK – Italian City: Verona, Venice, Milan, or Rome

Whilst each Italian city has its own unique charm, they all provide a lovely blend of fascinating landmarks, cosmopolitan sophistication, and the buzz of city life: the perfect complement to the tranquillity of the Italian Lakes.

Verona, famously known as the setting of Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo and Juliet,’ boasts landmarks such as the Casa di Giulietta (Juliet’s house) with its iconic balcony and the Roman Arena – an ancient amphitheatre. For the best views of the city, head to Castel San Pietro or Lamberti Tower.

Venice, with its romantic waterways, offers highlights such as the Bridge of Sighs, Rialto Bridge, and St. Mark’s Square, along with the world-famous gondola rides.  Head to Harry’s bar for a Bellini cocktail, believed to have been invented there.

Milan, known globally as a fashion and design capital, features historic sites such as the Duomo di Milano and the Santa Maria delle Grazie convent, home to Leonardo da Vinci’s ‘The Last Supper.’  Also, take a wander along the canal in the Navigli district, lined with trendy bars, cafes, and shops.

Rome offers must-sees such as the Colosseum, the Pantheon, the Roman Forum, and the Trevi Fountain. Toss a coin, make a wish, and enjoy a stroll through the charming streets with a gelato in hand. Also head to the Vatican City, where you’ll find St. Peter’s Basilica and the breath-taking Sistine Chapel.

🚗 Italian City – Italian Lake: Lake Como, Lake Maggiore or Lake Garda.

The Italian Lakes epitomise ‘la dolce vita,’ with their blend of natural beauty, historic towns, and relaxing atmosphere – perfect after a few days at one of the Italian cities.

Lake Como is known for its upscale, romantic ambiance, with glamorous mansions, Michelin-starred restaurants, and picturesque villages such as Bellagio, Varenna, and Lenno.

Lake Maggiore exudes tranquillity and sophistication, blending Italian and Swiss cultures. Highlights include the Borromean Islands, Stresa’s scenic promenades, and the panoramic views from Monte Mottarone.

Lake Garda, the largest of the Italian Lakes, features charming towns such as Riva del Garda, Malcesine, and Sirmione, with activities ranging from water sports to exploring historic castles and enjoying local wines.
