Itinerary

3 Nights – Florence
4 Nights – Liguria / Italian Riviera

✈UK – Florence (3 Nights): First we will fly you from the UK to Florence, and then meet you on arrival in to Florence to take you to your hotel, where you will be staying for your first 3 Nights.

Situated on the banks of the Arno river, Florence is the birthplace of the Renaissance and is an art-lover’s dream, being home to a number of world-class art galleries such as the Uffizi Gallery which has an amazing collection of Renaissance sculptures and paintings by the likes of da Vinci, Francesca and Botticelli. You can also see famous works of art at the Palatina Gallery and the Accademia Gallery, which has Michelangelo’s masterpiece ‘David’ and many other stunning works of art. A large part of Florence is pedestrianised, so perfect for exploring on foot. Take in the sights of the Piazza della Signoria, the Palazzo Vecchio and the Piazza del Duomo whilst enjoying this beautifully preserved mediaeval city. Another ‘must-see’ is the Basilica di San Miniato al Monte which is situated just outside the city, on the top of a hill, but is well worth the trip for the incredible views and architecture.

🚂 Florence to Liguria (4 Nights): When your stay in Florence comes to an end, we will take you to your next hotel on the Italian Riviera, where you will spend your next 4 Nights (why not consider extending this to 7 nights). This journey can be done by train or car dependent on what you’d prefer. This spectacular journey will take you through some of Italy’s stunning landscapes and will take approx 2-4 hours (depending on which resort you choose).

Liguria, also known as the Italian Riviera is a stunning stretch of coastline, with picturesque towns dotted along the seafront, and spectacular mountain scenery acting as its backdrop. Visiting the Riviera’s most glamorous resort of Portofino is a must, explore its 16th-century fortress, shop in its high-end boutiques and enjoy seafood at one of the fine dining restaurants on its cobbled Piazzetta. Nearby Santa Margherita is also extremely popular, with its picture perfect seaside promenade, stunning stretch of beach and laid back atmosphere. Taking in the 5 quaint centuries old seaside villages of Cinque Terre is also highly recommended. Each is uniquely magical, from the famous beach at Monterosso al Mare, to the multi-coloured town of Vernazza. It’s also worth considering a day trip to the city of Genoa to explore its medieval town and Italy’s largest port.

✈Liguria to UK: On your last day, we will transfer you to Genoa airport, for your flight back to the UK.
