Saint-Martin makes up the northern (French half) of the north east Caribbean island of St Martin. The other side of the island (St Maarten) is Dutch and it is this combination of 2 countries in one small 36 square mile island that makes it an intriguing holiday destination.

Description
The island of Saint Martin is blessed with 37 beautiful beaches. One of the most popular beaches on the French side of the island is Orient Beach. Frequented by celebrities and jet-setters, this beach is known as the ‘St Tropez of the Caribbean’ and offers fabulous beach restaurants, luxury hotels and of course, a stunning large beach and clear blue sea. For something a little more secluded, Pinel Island, which is situated just off Orient Bay and accessed by a short 10 minute boat ride, is a true hidden gem. Its main beach has white powdery sands and sheltered, shallow clear waters which are protected by the Marine park and offer fabulous snorkelling and shallow water dive opportunities. There are some equally stunning beaches on the Dutch side (St Maarten) including the unbelievable Maho beach where low flying jumbo jets practically skim the top of your head as they come into land just off the shore!
If you can drag yourself away from one of the island’s stunning beaches, other attractions on the French side of St Martin are Pic Paradis, which is the tallest mountain on the island and, nestled into its hillside is Loterie Farm, which is an eco-adventure park with extreme zip wires and private nature reserve.
Temperatures on the island remain a pretty consistent 25 or so degrees Celsius. Peak time to visit Peak time to visit is between December to May when there are fewer risks of hurricanes.
As you would expect from a Gallic island, the cuisine on the French side of St Martin is fabulous. One of the best places to eat is the town of Grand Case on the northern coast of the island where you will find numerous gourmet restaurants that offer a perfect blend of French/Caribbean cuisine. Hotel accommodation on the island is plentiful and whether you are looking for a 5 star resort with all the trappings of luxury or a more modest guest-house, Saint-Martin has it all. I had never heard of eshores till I decided to plan a multi-stop holiday in Turkey some weeks ago. The decision to use eshores was based on a quick internet search for any help I could get with this. So, i wasnt really expecting much. As the planning was at relatively short notice...and we had never travelled to Turkey, I was pleasantly surprised at the support I had from Rachel at eshores who listened to what I wanted and was patient to go back and forth with me till I had the exact holiday I wanted (Istanbul, Ankara and Antalya). I always had a response with every query(and I had quite a few!!). The travel itself worked like a dream...both international and domestic flights were straightforward, but even more surprising was how reliable the multiple taxis to and fro airports were, even when picking up at 0330!! Overall, the experience has been very positive and I would be very happy to use the service again

Nick arranged a 2 week trip to Argentina & Brazil for us in March. We were happy with the itinerary he put together and his choice of hotels. We had a good level of contact from taxi companies for collections at airports & hotels. On our return he checked everything had gone smoothly which was a nice touch. Nick Chadwick has arranged 2 far east hilidays for us in the past 6 months..
