Description
If you are looking for family friendly beach head over to Surfers Paradise – a favourite for fancy drinks and ice cream! However if you would rather take to the sea and tackle the waves, there are plenty of surfing beaches including The Spit and Mermaid Beach.
Along the Gold Coast there is also an abundance of natural beauty spots too. Lamington National Park is a World Heritage Area, popular for its ancient trees, spectacular views and extensive walking trails. Springbrook National Park is home to an ancient volcano, unique caves and stunning waterfalls – a visit to the parks Natural Bridge is a must.
Other ways spend a day out in the Gold Coast include a trip to Currumbin Animal Sanctuary, where you can get a picture with a Koala Bear. Alternatively take a trip to one of the many theme parks including Warner Bros. Movie World, Wet’nWild, Sea World and Dream World – popular with thrill seekers due to its Big Eight thrill rides.
The Gold Coast also offers an array of restaurants for its visitors to choose from. If it’s an ocean view you want, you will find it at Bumbles or for something more high-end try the Salt Grill. Black Coffee Lyrics in surfer’s paradise is perfect for a hot coffee and Hellenika has the best lamb in town!

My wife and I are independant travellers who did not want to be part of a larger tour group although we needed some help with the itinerary - flights, hotels, transfers etc. This is where eShores came in to the picture. I found the entire booking process to be a very positive experience primarily because we were assigned a dediacted travel advisor who remained with us as the sole point of contact throughout the entire process. Kelly was friendly, knowledgeable and responded back to any query promptly. We discussed some initial ideas over the phone and then she e-mailed me various options and we finally selected a trip to Cambodia and South Vietnam. Overall a brilliant service from Kelly and the eShores team (ps We are yet to take the trip but will report back on how the itinerary works out in practical terms when we head out in 2026)
