Description
For the adventurous, Vancouver is surrounded by mountain peaks and trails to explore. Grouse Grind Mountain is the biggest peak and whether you’re climbing up the 850m trail, getting the cable car to the top or skiing down it, it’s definitely worth exploring. If skiing is something you are interested in there are 3 peaks to choose from; Cypress, Grouse and Seymour. All slopes allow skiing and snowboarding but if that’s not your thing why not watch the action with a hot chocolate from the comfort of a mountain side café.
The Capilano Suspension Bridge is a big attraction, you can walk across the swaying suspension bridge, to the lush forest park. There you will find the Cliffwalk, which is a walkway which clings to the cliff face, and there’s also a treetop adventure taking you through the rainforest and offering stunning views of the surroundings.
If you’re looking to sample Vancouver by day, head to Granville Island. The shopping district is known for its growing art community and is a nice place to wander around. Head over to the market and sample some of the fresh produce, have a browse through the boutiques and small galleries and end your visit with a good a pub lunch.
Vancouver also has some interesting beaches to explore. If you are feeling adventurous and a little brave why not check out Wreck Beach, the local nudist beach. If you would rather keep your costume on, head to English Bay Beach, Jericho Beach or Sunset Beach, all popular with tourists and the locals.
Vancouver also has so much more to see, with numerous picturesque parks and gardens, the most popular being Stanley Park, which is a large park that’s almost surrounded by water. There’s the Chinese Gardens that are also beautiful and well worth visiting. Other attractions not to miss include Science World, the Vancouver Art Gallery, the Fly-Over Canada Simulator and the Vancouver Aquarium. Also a must is taking a harbour cruise to really get to see Vancouver in all its glory.

I am very happy with the booking of our holiday. Kadie discussed with me our requirements - our preference for an airport and what sort of accommodation we would like and as far as I can tell she has followed it to the letter. We look forward to our trip in September

Hannah and the team did an excellent job of organising our holiday in Italy, even informing us about a train strike while we there and booking us on to a coach instead. They gave us helpful directions from the airport to the hotel. The accommodation was very good with spacious rooms, delicious breakfasts and helpful receptionists giving us directions to the city centres. All in all we had a brilliant time.
