Get ready to be swept up in the magic of this bustling city with its magnificent skyscrapers that rise majestically, juxtaposed against the charming French colonial-style architecture that is a reminder of the city’s fascinating past when it was once part of French IndoChina.  Tantalise your taste buds with the delicious street food, visit the iconic Ben Thanh market and haggle for local handicrafts, and experience the city’s diverse and exciting nightlife.

🛥️ Optional Mekong Delta Tour (1-2 nights):  Get ready to be swept away on an optional day trip or a 1 or 2 night guided boat tour along the mesmerising Mekong Delta, an essential activity for those seeking to explore these vibrant waterways first-hand. You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh and join a small guided tour that offers a unique opportunity to witness the stunning scenery of the region, with lush orchards and verdant rice paddies stretching as far as the eye can see. You can opt for a day trip or an extended 1 or 2 night tour to truly immerse yourself in the daily rhythms of the Delta, spending the first night in Can Tho and if you do the 2 night tour you’ll spend the additional night in Chau Doc. During the tour, you’ll visit a bustling floating market, where local vendors sell their wares and haggle with customers. You’ll also witness the intricate techniques used in traditional rice noodle-making and towel weaving and visit a tranquil bird sanctuary where you will see an array of beautiful bird species.  Whether you opt for the day trip or the longer tour, you’ll get a unique glimpse into the fascinating daily life on the Mekong Delta.

🚗 Ho Chi Minh – Phan Thiet (10 nights):  With all that adventure, you’ll be ready to stretch out on the soft white sands of Phan Thiet for some serious R&R for 10 nights.  Whether you’re looking for a quiet spot to read a book or want to indulge in some water sports, there’s a beach for everyone along the miles of golden sand of Phan Thiet.  A must-see is the famous Red Sand Dunes, which provide a stunning backdrop for watching the sunset. Alternatively, for something a bit more adventurous, try sand-sledding (you can rent the boards from the locals, but make sure you haggle for a good price!) or rent quad bikes to explore more of the dunes. Phan Thiet is home to a thriving fishing industry, so make sure you visit the picturesque fishing village of Mui Ne where you can watch local fishermen bring in their daily catch and sample some of the freshest seafood in Vietnam.  Head to the ancient Cham temples and pagodas, including the Po Sah Inu with its intricate carvings and stunning architecture, built in the 8th century as a place of worship for the Cham people.
