🚂 Hakone – Takayama (2 nights): Taking the famous bullet train for the first leg of the journey to Takayama before changing onto one of the most scenic train routes in Japan you’ll wind through mountains and gorges. High up in the Hida alpine region you’ll arrive in the beautifully preserved old town of Takayama with its very unique culture for you to explore.
On your second day in this Edo period merchant town you’ll have a local guide to take you on the markets and the old town before going on a Sake brewery tour. There is also an option to visit a fascinating Hida Folk village where you can appreciate traditional Japanese life.
🚂 Takayama – Kanazawa (2 nights): Take the train from here onto the beautifully preserved town of Kanazawa where you will stay for 2 nights. You will also be able to visit the DT Suzuki Museum to learn about the man who introduced Zen Buddhism to the West, here you can also practice mindfulness by the peaceful water gardens. With the next day to yourself you can explore the Geisha district of Kazuemachi with its original buildings, the castle remains and the Omicho market.

A must-see is the dramatic Fushimi Inari Shrine, home to over 10,000 red tori gates leading up the mountain. Visit the narrow shopping street of Kyoto’s kitchen as well as Gion, the home to Kyoto’s elusive Geisha. You’ll have a day with a guide too who will show you around the Zen temple of Ginkakuji and then the Yasaka Shrine and you will take part in an ancient tea ceremony before moving onto the Kodaiji Temple and gardens.
The following day you can enjoy taking part in a Bento Cooking class learning how to make sushi, tempura and miso soup – a great skill to learn as a lifelong reminder of your memorable holiday.

Eshore’s are an excellent company I can’t praise them enough, especially Adam who has been amazing. He was really patient as I’m indecisive and changed my mind several times. He persevered and found us a dream holiday and put together great itinerary covering every aspect of our journey . Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances we had to cancel the trip and Adam went above and beyond to recoup as much as possible for us. It was a huge help & felt very personal as if he were a friend. We have rescheduled the holiday & will use Eshores for all future trips’

I had never heard of eshores till I decided to plan a multi-stop holiday in Turkey some weeks ago. The decision to use eshores was based on a quick internet search for any help I could get with this. So, i wasnt really expecting much. As the planning was at relatively short notice...and we had never travelled to Turkey, I was pleasantly surprised at the support I had from Rachel at eshores who listened to what I wanted and was patient to go back and forth with me till I had the exact holiday I wanted (Istanbul, Ankara and Antalya). I always had a response with every query(and I had quite a few!!). The travel itself worked like a dream...both international and domestic flights were straightforward, but even more surprising was how reliable the multiple taxis to and fro airports were, even when picking up at 0330!! Overall, the experience has been very positive and I would be very happy to use the service again

Nick arranged a 2 week trip to Argentina & Brazil for us in March. We were happy with the itinerary he put together and his choice of hotels. We had a good level of contact from taxi companies for collections at airports & hotels. On our return he checked everything had gone smoothly which was a nice touch. I mentioned that I was looking for a beach holiday in a couple of months and he put together some hotels at a good price so I’ve booked again with him. I would definitely use Nick, EShores, again and recommend them to friends.
