✈️ UK – Athens (3 nights): Arriving in Athens, take some time to wander this fascinating ancient city where history and modern culture sit side by side. With three nights here, you can enjoy leafy squares, public gardens and the city’s vibrant café culture. Athens also boasts a thriving contemporary arts scene and lively nightlife. Head to the Syntagma and Monastiraki areas for chic bars after dark, or explore Metaxourgiou, an up-and-coming district filled with art galleries and hip restaurants. No stay in Athens is complete without exploring its classical past. Start by climbing up to the Acropolis, home of the 5th-century BC Parthenon, and walk the 2.5-mile pedestrian Archaeological Promenade, which links all the city’s major historic sites. Be sure to see the Acropolis illuminated at night too as it’s truly magnificent.
🚢 Athens – Paros (5 nights): From the port of Piraeus, take a ferry to the charming island of Paros, part of the Cyclades archipelago. Less well-known than some of its glamorous neighbours, Paros offers an authentic slice of Greek island life with whitewashed buildings, blue-domed churches, peaceful beaches and traditional fishing harbours. You’ll arrive into the lively port town of Parikia, where you can wander the old market lanes and visit the impressive Byzantine Church of Ekatondapyliani. The old Venetian harbour of Naoussa is particularly picturesque, perfect for an evening stroll followed by dinner in a waterfront taverna as the sun sets over the Aegean. With five nights on Paros, you’ll have plenty of time to explore its beaches, hilltop villages and relaxed island charm.
🚢 Paros – Santorini (4 nights): Next, sail south to the volcanic island of Santorini, instantly recognisable for its whitewashed villages clinging to dramatic cliffs and blue-domed churches against vivid skies. With four nights here, you’ll have ample time to explore the island’s lively towns, archaeological sites and distinctive black-sand beaches. Formed by a volcanic eruption in the 16th century BC, Santorini’s rugged landscape and dramatic caldera define its unique beauty, so soak in the views, enjoy the caldera’s hot springs, and wander between the clifftop towns of Fira, Firostefani, Imerovigli and Oia. Each offers breathtaking viewpoints, winding lanes and unforgettable sunsets, especially from Oia, where the sky blazes with colour each evening.
