Matt has been working for eShores since 2012. He has worked in the industry for the last 30 years and has extensively travelled the globe, so has a wealth of experience when it comes to giving advice on holidays. He has a passion for the States and has been to the USA over a dozen times, visiting a lot of places that aren’t your typical tourist areas such as Texas, Colorado and even Alaska, as well as the tourist favourites like New York and Los Angeles.

After spending several years as a holiday rep in Europe, Matt wanted to see the world so he has been to several of Caribbean islands, visited North Africa and the Middle East, he’s also travelled around Asia and has been as far as Australia. Here’s a bit more from Matt..

Most adventurous thing you’ve ever done?

Climbed the Himalayas for charity. It was very hard, and I wouldn’t do it again,  but it was also extremely worthwhile and gave me a great sense of achievement.

Beach holiday or city break?

Bit of both.. combining city with beach is the perfect blend of sightseeing and chill.

Cocktails at sunset, or a walk at sunrise?

Cocktails, but not just at sunset 😉

Street food, or hotel restaurant?

Again, a bit of both – can’t beat street food when you’re wandering around a city, but in the evenings its nice to be waited on and relax.

Do you use a map, or prefer to wander aimlessly?

Love a good wander, not a holiday without getting lost, is it?!
