Location: The Anantara is situated on the edge of the Mae Ping River in Thailand’s second largest city of Chiang Mai. The hotel is in a great location to explore this lovely city, being just 5 minutes’ walk from the Night Bazaar. It is just a short drive form Chiang Mai International Airport.

Facilities: Guests can make use of the hotel’s stunning riverside swimming pool, full-service spa and fitness centre which also offers a programme of yoga classes. The hotel also offers complimentary bike hire for guests who wish to explore the city on two wheels. The hotel can also organise a range of excursions including an elephant trail, a sunset cruise on the Mae Ping river, or for the more adventurous, the ‘Flight of the Gibbon’ where you can zip-wire through the rainforest just outside Chiang Mai – one of the city’s most popular tourist attractions, but not for the faint hearted!

Bars and Restaurants: The hotel’s ‘The Restaurant’ occupies a fabulous position by the riverside and offers a contemporary slant on South East Asian and International cuisine. ‘The Colonial House’ conjures up delicious Indian cuisine in impressive surroundings that was once the British Consulate building, now turned gourmet restaurant.
