Bali is a vibrant island of golden beaches, lush jungles and rich cultural heritage. A multi centre holiday lets you experience more than just the shoreline. Explore Ubud’s rice terraces, ornate temples and traditional dance, balance it with volcanic treks, river rafting and time to relax on idyllic beaches. You can also combine Bali with nearby Lombok, the laid back Gili Islands, or even a stopover in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur or Bangkok for a city and beach escape.
Bali offers an incredible variety of experiences. You can surf, snorkel or dive off the coast, explore jungle trails and hidden waterfalls, or cycle through villages surrounded by rice fields. Wander Ubud’s artisan markets, visit clifftop temples such as Uluwatu, or sample Balinese cuisine at a local warung. Bali enjoys a warm tropical climate year-round, with average temperatures in the high 20s. The dry season, from May to September, is the most popular time to visit with sunnier weather, so ideal for beach time. The wet season, from October to April, brings tropical showers but also fewer crowds, greener landscapes, and great value for travellers.
Bali’s south coast has some of the island’s most popular beaches, from lively Kuta and Seminyak to family-friendly Sanur and the clifftop setting of Uluwatu. For calmer coves and clear waters, head to Nusa Dua or Jimbaran Bay. If you want to venture further, Lombok offers quieter stretches of white sand, while the Gili Islands are perfect for barefoot beach life.
