Itinerary
2 Nights – Lima
5 Nights – Cuzco (Machu Picchu)
UK – Lima (2 Nights): You’ll fly from the UK to the coastal capital of Lima, where we’ll transfer you to your hotel for your first 2 nights. Amid deep valleys, Lima nestles colonial cloisters, spire churches, landscaped gardens and the rush of a 21st-century metropolis. Wander El Centro’s Old World grandeur and admire pretty canary yellow facades. Peruse pre-colonial art at the Museo Larco, climb the 1625-built wooden staircase at the Monastery of San Francisco and unwind under architectural splendours at the main Plaza de Armas. Markets, malls and authentic ceviche restaurants break up Lima’s districts, like the verdant and bohemian Miraflores. Enjoy evening folk dancers, Barranco’s beach options and a surprising twist in Chinatown.
Lima– Cuzco (5 Nights): You’ll fly direct to Cuzco for five nights- this number gives you time to explore Cuzco at a relaxed pace whilst you acclimatise to the altitude, before finishing at the New 7 Wonders Of The World Machu Picchu. Cuzco is the city gateway to the world-famous Inca trail, with the Sacsayhuamán site two miles north. Cuzco itself blends Quechua culture, Inca heritage, Spanish flair and a breath-taking Andean mountain setting. Clay-tile roofing and cobbles here stagger beautifully preserved tradition amid vibrant markets and ancient relics. Gaze up at the Catedral de Cuzco and Iglesia de la Compañía de Jesús, sample roasted pollo a la brasa chicken and dive in and out of local bars.
Incas Sacred Valley Day Trip: Once you’re a little more acclimatised you will do this amazing day trip to discover the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Explore some of the most well known sites associated with this mysterious civilisation and take in the stunning Andean landscapes that surround it.
Machu Picchu Day Trip: The highlight for many here is the 26-mile Machu Picchu trail, which we include as a day tour by rail , but we can also arrange for you to trek the trail. Beautifully preserved Inca culture here is showcased in sights such as the Temple of the Sun, Sun Gate and The Sacred Rock. Cascading terraces frame this 7 New Wonders of the World citadel, and brave travellers can hike up the demanding Huayna Picchu (where the photo ops are legendary).
While in Cusco, take the opportunity to visit the stunning Rainbow Mountain, a natural wonder with its vibrant, multi-coloured slopes, offering breath-taking views and an unforgettable experience amidst the Andes.
Cuzco – UK: On your final day, we’ll be at your hotel to meet and transfer you back to the airport for your flight back to the UK.

Leanne was a delight to work with, proactively suggesting options, whilst remembering they had to be practical. What I appreciated most was how responsive and efficient Leanne was. Everything was handled promptly. Even though we haven’t taken the trip yet, I already feel confident that things will run smoothly thanks to the excellent groundwork that Leanne put in place.

I’ve now lost count of the trips I’ve booked with Gavin at e-shores and how he always manages to know exactly what we like and gets a great price - always the same or less than I research myself. Our latest was Greek island hopping to Mykonos, Paros, Naxos and Santorini and the hotels Gavin booked were all outstanding and the typically small, boutique hotels with less crowds. We went out of season (1st - 13th Sept) and everything went smoothly from the airport transfers, the welcome we had at each hotel and the beauty of each island having its own magic. Looking forward to the next trip already booked through Gavin in November! Thank you everyone-shores - the Napiers!

Claire Smith offered invaluable support in arranging our travel by air to Portugal pluse trains around the country, offering a choice of three hotels in every stop. She expanded our initial thoughts of Lisbon and Porto to include fantastic destinations that we would not have thought of - Guimaraes, Aveiro and Sintra. And she suggested tours we might enjoy. She listened. She selected hotels on the basis of what we told her we would like, from the feel of them to their location and the facilities they had. She was on the end of the phone when I needed her and made me feel there would be help at the end of the phone in an emergency abroad. We're looking forward to our getaway, secure in the knowledge it has been tailor maide to our requirements.

As always, fantastic service from Rob at eShores. He responded quickly to any requests and provided excellent support throughout the booking process. This is the second trip we’ve booked with him, and we’ve even recommended him to family members who are now also booking their holidays with Rob. Highly recommended

Our travel consultant, whom we have worked with for a few trips now, was given a wide ranging, complex and extensive overseas tour itinerary to quote for my wife and I. Not only did she return the quote within a matter of days but it was an amazing price and the hotels of our choice were mainly booked. The administration backed up the agreed quote with all relevant documents and we paid the deposit. All was done with the utmost efficiency, accuracy and speed. Wiil be back!!
