Spend your first evening recovering from your flight with good food and local entertainment along The Beltline and 17th Avenue which is the city’s lively main drag, filled with restaurants, bars and friendly Canadian hospitality.

🚗 Calgary – Banff (1 night): The next day, collect your hire car and head into the mountains to Banff, where dramatic peaks, turquoise lakes and fresh alpine air await. The natural beauty here is truly breathtaking. 🚗 Banff – Lake Louise (1 night): Your journey continues through Banff National Park to the awe-inspiring Lake Louise, one of Canada’s most iconic sights. The lake’s vivid blue waters and glacier-topped peaks make it a picture-perfect stop. Explore the area on foot, or take to the water by kayak for a fresh perspective of the surrounding landscape. Nearby Moraine Lake and the Valley of the Ten Peaks offer even more stunning photo opportunities.

🚗 Lake Louise – Jasper (2 nights): Travel north along the world-famous Icefields Parkway to Jasper, a tranquil mountain town known for its natural beauty and excellent dining. Here, you can unwind with a delicious meal or relax in one of Jasper’s soothing spas. We’ll also arrange a visit to the impressive Athabasca Falls and the nearby glacier, which are both unforgettable highlights showcasing the raw power of nature. With two nights here, you’ll have plenty of time to hike, explore and take in the serenity of the Rockies.

🚆 Jasper – Kamloops (1 night): Next, board the iconic Rocky Mountaineer for an unforgettable rail journey through some of North America’s most spectacular landscapes. Settle into your cabin and enjoy onboard commentary as you pass rugged mountains, forests and valleys where you might spot bears, eagles or mountain goats. Spend the night in Kamloops, a riverside city at the meeting point of the North and South Thompson Rivers.

🚆 Kamloops – Vancouver (2 nights): Continue your Rocky Mountaineer journey west to Vancouver, a vibrant coastal city surrounded by ocean and mountains. Sail the Inside Passage, one of the most spectacular sea routes in the world, where steep mountain walls, emerald forests and calving glaciers create unforgettable views.

Keep an eye out for black and brown bears, moose, whales and seals as you journey towards Tracy Arm Fjord and the twin Sawyer Glaciers. Stop in Alaska’s unique capital, Juneau (accessible only by sea or air) and explore its mountains, icefields and wild surroundings. Visit the historic town of Skagway, with its restored 19th-century buildings and the scenic White Pass & Yukon Route railway, and end in Ketchikan, the “Salmon Capital of the World,” where colourful boardwalks and totem parks bring the local culture to life.

✈️ Alaska – UK: After your incredible cruise, you’ll return along the Inside Passage to Vancouver before boarding your flight back to the UK, ending your unforgettable Canadian and Alaskan adventure.
