You will discover Peru’s capital city of Lima, the stunning Peruvian Amazon Rainforest, the Sacred Valley, mystical Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca, Santiago, Buenos Aires, the incredible Iguaçú Falls and the colourful city of Rio de Janeiro. 1 Night – Huatajata (Bolivia)
2 Night – La Paz (Bolivia)
2 Night – Santiago (Chile)
2 Night – Buenos Aires (Argentina)
2 Night – Iguacu Falls (Argentina/Brazil)
2 Night – Rio de Janeiro (Brazil)
Meals Included: 21 Breakfasts, 7 Lunches, 6 Dinners
Day 1: London to Lima: You will depart from Heathrow airport, where you will meet your tour manager and take your flight to Lima, via Madrid. On arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel where you will stay 2 nights.
Day 2: Lima: You will enjoy a guided tour of Lima, Peru’s capital city, where you will discover magnificent colonial architecture and also take a trip to the city’s Larco Museum which houses a splendid collection of Pre-Columbian art and artefacts.
Days 3 & 4: Peruvian Amazon (2 nights): You will fly to Puerto Maldonado, a city in the Amazon forest, where you will then take a boat along the Madre de Dios River to your accommodation for the next 2 nights, the stunning Reserva Amazonica Lodge.
Days 5 & 6: Cuzco (Sacred Valley) (2 nights): You will take a flight to the Inca capital of Cuzco where you will be transferred to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, situated in the valley of the Andes mountain range. You will stay here for 2 nights and enjoy a full day’s excursion of the Sacred Valley, where you will discover many beautiful Inca ruins. This will also give you a chance to acclimatise to the high altitudes of the Andes, before you embark on the next stage of your tour.
Day 7: Machu Picchu (1 night): Today, you will set off on a journey to the mystical Machu Picchu, taking a Vistadome train on which you will enjoy the magical scenery through the train’s panoramic windows and comfortable seats. You will be taken aback by the beautiful setting and incredible architectural achievements of Machu Picchu, the ‘Lost City of the Incas’.
Day 8 & 9: Cuzco (2 nights):
Day 8: You may spend the morning at your own pace before departing by train for Cuzco, where you will stay for 2 nights.
Day 9: Today, you will join a half-day tour of Cuzco and the nearby ancient Incan fortress of Sacsayhuamanun.
Day 10: Puno (1 night): You will hop aboard the Andean Explorer Train to traverse the high Altiplano, where the Andes are at their widest, before arriving at Puno, on the shore of Lake Titicaca. You will then reach the highest point of the whole trip, making a stop at over 14,000 feet above sea level.
Day 11: Huatajata (1 night): Today, you will be transferred to Copacabana, on the Bolivian side of Lake Titicaca. Here you will enjoy a hydrofoil cruise across the lake, and take in a visit to Sun and Moon Island, before continuing onto Huatajata where you will visit the Andean Roots Eco-Village and learn from a Kallaywaya (a natural medicine doctor) who will inform you about the totora reed boats, still used on Lake Titicaca.
Day 12 & 13: La Paz (2 nights):
Day 12: You will visit the Tiwanaku Ruins on the south-eastern shore of Lake Titicaca before continuing your journey onto La Paz, the administrative capital of Bolivia. You will tour the city and its splendid colonial architecture before heading off to see Moon Valley, just outside the city, famed for its almost surreal landscape of eroded rock and clay that resembles being on the moon.
Day 13: You will spend the day at your leisure.
Day 14 & 15 (2 nights) Santiago: You will take a flight to Santiago, Chile’s exciting and cosmopolitan capital city. Here, you will take in a short tour of the city, exploring its most interesting attractions.
Day 16 & 17: Buenos Aires (2 nights): You will take an early morning flight to Buenos Aires in Argentina where you will spend the following 2 nights. You will partake in an interesting tour of the city which encompasses many of the city’s highlights including Palermo Park, the Recoleta Barrio and the colourful La Boca district, renowned for its brightly painted buildings. In the evening, you will enjoy a traditional tango show.
Days 18 & 19: Iguaçú Falls (2 nights): You will take a flight to the breath-taking Iguaçu Falls, where you will get a chance to view this incredible natural wonder from both the Argentinean and Brazilian sides of the waterfall on your 2 night stay.
Day 20 & 21: Rio de Janeiro (2 nights): To complete your amazing tour of South America, you will take a flight to the vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro. Here, you will take a tour to see the landmark Christ the Redeemer Statue on top of Corcovado Hill, and also spend some time exploring the city itself. On your final evening, you will enjoy a farewell dinner at a Brazilian barbeque restaurant with live music at Rio Scenarium.
Day 22: Flight to UK : You will be transferred to the airport for you flight home to the UK.

Leanne was a delight to work with, proactively suggesting options, whilst remembering they had to be practical. What I appreciated most was how responsive and efficient Leanne was. Everything was handled promptly. Even though we haven’t taken the trip yet, I already feel confident that things will run smoothly thanks to the excellent groundwork that Leanne put in place.

I’ve now lost count of the trips I’ve booked with Gavin at e-shores and how he always manages to know exactly what we like and gets a great price - always the same or less than I research myself. Our latest was Greek island hopping to Mykonos, Paros, Naxos and Santorini and the hotels Gavin booked were all outstanding and the typically small, boutique hotels with less crowds. We went out of season (1st - 13th Sept) and everything went smoothly from the airport transfers, the welcome we had at each hotel and the beauty of each island having its own magic. Looking forward to the next trip already booked through Gavin in November! Thank you everyone-shores - the Napiers!

Claire Smith offered invaluable support in arranging our travel by air to Portugal pluse trains around the country, offering a choice of three hotels in every stop. She expanded our initial thoughts of Lisbon and Porto to include fantastic destinations that we would not have thought of - Guimaraes, Aveiro and Sintra. And she suggested tours we might enjoy. She listened. She selected hotels on the basis of what we told her we would like, from the feel of them to their location and the facilities they had. She was on the end of the phone when I needed her and made me feel there would be help at the end of the phone in an emergency abroad. We're looking forward to our getaway, secure in the knowledge it has been tailor maide to our requirements.

Our travel consultant, whom we have worked with for a few trips now, was given a wide ranging, complex and extensive overseas tour itinerary to quote for my wife and I. Not only did she return the quote within a matter of days but it was an amazing price and the hotels of our choice were mainly booked. The administration backed up the agreed quote with all relevant documents and we paid the deposit. All was done with the utmost efficiency, accuracy and speed. Wiil be back!!
