May to September is generally the best time to visit, especially if you’re heading to the Andes or planning to trek. It’s dry season in the highlands, with clear skies and cooler temperatures. The Amazon is hot and humid year-round, but slightly drier during these months. If you want fewer crowds, consider shoulder months like April or October.
