✈️ UK – Ubud (3 nights): 

Day 1: Arrive in Bali and transfer to Ubud, the island’s cultural heart. On arrival at your luxury boutique hotel, you’ll have time to relax after your journey and it’s worth considering an optional Traditional Balinese Massage.

Day 2: After breakfast, the day begins in Batubulan village to watch the famous Barong Dance — a traditional performance depicting the eternal battle between good and evil. Continue north to admire the stunning rice terraces of Tegalalang, where you’ll enjoy a 30-minute scenic walk through an area rarely visited by tourists. Learn about Bali’s ancient Subak irrigation system, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Next, visit the holy water temple of Tirta Empul, where Balinese people come for spiritual cleansing. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, explore Ubud Monkey Forest, a lush sanctuary home to more than 300 long-tailed macaques. Return to your hotel and enjoy free time to stroll through Ubud’s charming lanes.

Day 3: Today, immerse yourself in an authentic Balinese jungle adventure. Begin with a visit to a hidden waterfall where you can take a refreshing dip or simply enjoy the view. Continue with a jungle trek (1.5–3 hours) through the tropical forest surrounding Lake Tamblingan — a route untouched by mass tourism. Cross the serene lake by wooden canoe to reach an ancient Hindu temple still used for ceremonies. Lunch will be served in Munduk with breathtaking views over the tropical forest. Later, visit the stunning Jatiluwih rice terraces, another UNESCO‑protected site, and take a short walk through the lush fields before returning to Ubud.

🚗 Ubud – Amed (2 nights):

Day 4: After breakfast, depart for Bali’s northeast coast — a region of authenticity and simplicity. Visit Goa Gajah, the ‘Elephant Cave’, a sacred meditation site with stone carvings dating back to the 9th century. Continue to Klungkung to see Kerta Gosa, the ancient Court of Justice decorated with symbolic paintings on its ceiling. Stop at Goa Lawah, the famous Bat Cave Temple, where thousands of bats dwell inside a holy cave. Enjoy a simple lunch at a local restaurant. Visit the Royal Water Palace of Ujung, built in 1909, before arriving in Amed. Check in and relax by the sea.

Day 5: A full day at leisure to relax by the hotel pool or at Amed’s quiet beaches of dark volcanic sand. Optional: join local fishermen for a short outrigger boat cruise, go snorkelling, diving, or kayaking. At sunset, enjoy a refreshing coconut drink at a bamboo restaurant with a spectacular view of Mount Agung. Dinner at leisure.

🚗 Amed – Sidemen (2 nights):

Day 6: After breakfast, depart for Sidemen, one of the most authentic and scenic areas of Bali, surrounded by endless rice terraces. En route, visit Lempuyang Temple — one of Bali’s oldest and most sacred temples, offering a breathtaking view of Mount Agung through the iconic ‘Gates of Heaven’. Continue to Tirta Gangga, the Royal Water Palace, a peaceful garden of fountains and statues. Later, visit a traditional Balinese village near Sidemen, meet locals, and learn about honey production from stingless bees. Enjoy a refreshing coconut drink and continue with a gentle walk through rice fields and tropical forest before lunch at a local restaurant. Check in at your Sidemen hotel and enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Sidemen.

Day 7: Today, immerse yourself in the spiritual and rural life of Sidemen. Begin the morning dressed in traditional Balinese attire to take part in a blessing ceremony at a small local temple — a unique and emotional experience. After breakfast, visit a weaving house to discover the art of songket textile making, followed by a gentle one-hour walk through rice paddies and farms. Meet local farmers and join short workshops: learn to make palm-leaf offerings, try Balinese calligraphy, prepare herbal ‘Jamu’ drinks, and taste the local rice wine ‘Arak’. End the experience with a buffet-style traditional Balinese lunch overlooking the valley. Optional: two-hour cycling tour through the countryside.

🚗 Sidemen – Beach Resort (7 nights): Transfer to the coast for a week of well-earned relaxation at one of Bali’s luxury beach resorts. Spend your days unwinding by the pool, enjoying spa treatments or exploring nearby coastal highlights. If you want something truly off the beaten track, it’s also a great option to switch your Bali beach stay for the wild and untouched island of Sumba, ideal for something truly unique.
