On this exciting and luxurious 7 night safari, you will be taken around some of the best National Parks and Reserves in Kenya with the opportunity to view a wide variety of game and bird-life. Your safari will include a visit to Samburu, home to some rare species of giraffe, zebra and gerenuks. You will then continue onto Mount Kenya and next to the Rift Valley Lakes, home to pink flamingos. Finally, you will visit the magnificent Masai Mara with the opportunity to view the ‘big five’. If you visit the Masai Mara between June and October, you may be lucky enough to witness the awe-inspiring annual migration of wildebeest, when millions of animals trek across the plains. All of the comfortable accommodation is in fabulous locations with prime game viewing potential.

Day 1 (Sun) Heathrow to Nairobi: You will take an overnight flight from Heathrow to Nairobi, Kenya.

Day 2 (Mon) Aberdares: On your arrival into Nairobi, you will be taken to the airport Lounge where you can freshen up before taking your onward journey to Aberdares (approx. 4 hours). You can also leave any additional luggage at the lounge if you wish. You will arrive at your accommodation, the Ark Lodge, for lunch and spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing on the deck, overlooking the waterhole.

Day 3 & 4 (Tues) Samburu (2 nights):
Day 3: In the morning, you will be driven to the Samburu National Reserve (approx. 4 hours) where you will have lunch followed by a late afternoon game drive. You will stay overnight at the Ashnil Samburu Camp in Buffalo Springs Game Reserve. Accommodation here is in one of 24 deluxe tents with en suite facilities and a magnificent view of Ewaso Ng’iro River.
Day 4: You will enjoy morning and afternoon game drives, with the opportunity to catch sight of some rare species such as Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffes and long-next gerenuks.

Day 5 (Thurs) Aberdare Country Club: In the morning, you will be driven to your next stopover, the Aberdare Country Club (190km) where you will have lunch before spending the afternoon enjoying a game drive in the Solio Game Reserve, a wildlife conservancy which plays a major role in the protection of black rhinos.

Day 6 (Fri) Lake Nakuru/Lake Naivasha: After a hearty breakfast, your next stop will be the Rift Valley Lakes and you will be driven to your next destination for lunch – Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge (approx. 4 hours) and you will enjoy an afternoon boat ride on the lake.

Day 7 & 8 (Sat) Masai Mara (2 nights):
Day 7: To conclude your safari adventure, you will be driven to the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve (approx. 5 hours and 30 mins) where you will arrive at lunch time and enjoy an afternoon game drive. You will stay at the Ashnil Mara Camp in one of 40 luxury tents with private veranda for watching game and taking in the splendid view overlooking the plains of the Masai Mara. There is a swimming pool to relax in while you’re not exploring.
Day 8: You can choose between an early morning game drive with breakfast at the lodge (included) or, for an optional extra, take a hot air balloon flight over the Masai Mara followed by a ‘bubbly’ bush breakfast. After lunch, you will enjoy another late afternoon game drive.

Day 9 (Mon) Heathrow or Beach extension: After breakfast, you will be driven back to Nairobi (approx. 5 hours) or fly by light aircraft from Mara to Nairobi (optional extra with luggage limit 15kg – please contact us for details) where you will catch your onward flight – either back to Heathrow or an alternative beach extension. If you choose to extend your holiday in Mombasa, you can fly straight from the Mara.
