Day 1 (Sun) Heathrow to Nairobi: You will take an overnight flight from Heathrow to Nairobi, Kenya.

Day 2 (Mon) Nairobi, Kenya: On your arrival in Nairobi, you will be taken to your hotel, the Nairobi Serena Hotel, a member of the luxury brand Leading Hotels of the World, where you will spend the day relaxing or choose an optional excursion.

Day 3 & 4 (Tues & Weds) Samburu, Kenya (2 nights):
Day 3: You will be driven to the Samburu Nature Reserve (approx. 6 hours) where you will arrive at your lodge (the Samburu Simba Lodge) for lunch followed by an afternoon game drive. The 4 star Samburu Simba Lodge is in an ideal location for spotting giraffes, zebras and elephants with fabulous views over the plains and the Uaso Nyiro River. The lodge has 70 rooms and 2 swimming pools.
Day 4: You will enjoy game drives in the magnificent Samburu Nature Reserve in the morning and afternoon.

Day 5 (Thurs) Aberdares, Mount Kenya: You will be driven to Mount Kenya and to your lodge, the Serena Mountain Lodge (approx. 3 hours and 30 minutes) where you will spend the afternoon game viewing from the lodge or, weather permitting, join an optional nature walk (payable locally). The Serena Mountain Lodge with 41 rooms is built in the style of a tree-house, nestled into the rainforest slopes of Mount Kenya. One of the highlights of the lodge is the variety of game which make their way through the camp throughout the day and night, visiting the lodge’s water hole.

Day 6 (Fri) Lake Nakuru, Kenya: After a good breakfast, you will be driven to Lake Nakuru (approx. 4 hours) where you will be taken to your lodge for the night, Lake Nakuru Lodge. You will enjoy lunch followed by an afternoon game drive, with the hope of spotting a rhino. Lake Nakuru Lodge is situated in Lake Nakuru National Park, which is renowned for its flamingos and the comfortable lodge provides excellent views with a swimming pool to cool off in.

Day 7 & 8 (Sat & Sun) Masai Mara, Kenya (2 nights):
Day 7: After an early morning breakfast, you will be driven to the Masai Mara, via the Great Rift Valley (approx. 7 hours), stopping for lunch on the way. Once you have arrived at your accommodation, the Mara Serena Safari Lodge, you will enjoy a late afternoon game drive. The lodge is ideally situated in the centre of the famous Masai Mara National Reserve and has fabulous views over the savannah and the Mara River (home to the hippo). If you are lucky, and visit at the right time of year, you may catch sight of one of the greatest sights in the world, the annual migration of the wildebeest. The lodge has 74 rooms, swimming pool, gym and spa.
Day 8: Before breakfast, you will be taken on an early morning game drive or, as an optional extra, you may choose to take a spectacular hot air balloon flight over the Masai Mara followed by a ‘bubbly’ breakfast.

Day 9 (Mon) Arusha, Tanzania: In the early morning, you will be driven to Nairobi (approx. 6 hours) where you will have lunch or, alternatively, you may choose to fly by light aircraft to Nairobi (optional extra and 15kg luggage limit) where you will be transferred to Nairobi airport and take an evening flight to Kilimanjaro. You will stay in the Serena Mountain Village in Arusha for the night, ready to embark on the next part of your safari adventure in Tanzania.

Day 10 (Tues) Lake Manyara, Tanzania: After a tasty breakfast, you will be driven to the home of the fascinating tree-climbing lions – Lake Manyara National Park. You will stay in the Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge which has breath-taking panoramic views over Lake Manyara and comfortable rooms housed in traditional two-storey circular ‘rondavels’ with thatched roofs.

Day 11 and 12 (Weds & Thurs) Serengeti, Tanzania (2 nights):
Day 11: In the morning, you will be driven to your accommodation in the Serengeti National Park, the Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge, taking in some game viewing en route (approx. 5 hours). Accommodation at the Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge is in a traditional circular rondavel which has a private balcony affording fabulous views over the Serengeti plains.
Day 12: Before breakfast, you will be taken on an early morning game drive or a hot air balloon flight with ‘bubbly’ breakfast (optional extra). In the afternoon, you will enjoy another game drive.

Day 13 & 14 (Fri & Sat) Ngorongoro (2 nights):
Day 13: For the final chapter of your safari adventure, you will be driven to the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater via Olduvai Gorge (one of the most important pre-historic archaeological sites in the world). Your accommodation will be at the unique Ngorongoro Safari Lodge which seamlessly blends in to the Crater surroundings and is perfectly located on the Crater rim. You are free to spend the afternoon as you wish.
Day 14: You will be driven inside the Crater for a half-day of game viewing. You can expect to see a good variety of large animals inside this remarkable extinct volcano, including wildebeest, buffaloes, gazelles, elephants, rhinos, wildebeest and big cats. Afterwards, if times permits, you will be taken to a local Masai village.

Day 15 (Sun) Nairobi to Heathrow (or a beach extension): You will be driven to Arusha (approx. 3.5 hours) where you will have lunch and then transferred to Nairobi for your flight back to Heathrow. Alternatively, you may choose to continue your holiday with a beach extension, please contact us for details. (NB: If you choose to fly to Zanzibar for your beach extension, you may fly directly from Arusha.)
