✈ UK – Santorini (4 Nights): Arriving at the volcanic island of Santorini, you will be immediately struck by the island’s striking topography. With traditional white-washed villages clinging to the high clifftops above you, it is simply stunning. Recognisable from many postcards of the blue-domed churches backed by brilliant blue skies, the island is also renowned for its’ stunning sunsets. It is this scenery, along with its boutique hotels, that has earnt it its’ romantic reputation.

Santorini was shaped by a devastating volcano in the 16th Century BC which left a rugged landscape and dramatic volcanic crater, known as a Caldera, peeking out of the sea. Catch the best views of the sunset, and the spectacular Caldera, from one of the cliff top tavernas in Oia on the north of the island. Thira, the island’s main resort is also perched up high on a cliff top, so although neither town is on a beach, there are some excellent beaches on the island all with the striking darker sand of a volcanic island.

â›´ Santorini – Naxos (5 Nights): After your stay on Santorini catch a ferry to the nearby island of Naxos. Known for its’ abundance of long sandy beaches, the island is the largest in the Cyclades. Like its neighbouring islands, Naxos is traditional Greek looking with white-washed houses and blue-domed churches but its’ charm is its’ unspoilt atmosphere, it still retains the laid back character that many Greek Islands had perhaps more than 40 years ago.

Take advantage of the winds that blow through the Cyclades and have a go at windsurfing or any of the other water sports that Naxos offers lots from its wonderful long beaches. Or, simply take it easy and enjoy snorkelling among the rocky outcrops followed by lunch in the shade of the trees of a beach-side taverna. The main town of Chora is a labyrinth of with narrow alleyways, beautiful churches and shaded courtyards waiting to be discovered, but don’t worry you won’t get lost as all roads eventually lead to the harbour front! In the more lush interior of the island there are over 25 miles of hiking trails that are wonderful to explore, as well as Halki, the Venetian former capital which is well worth a visit.

â›´ Naxos – Mykonos (5 Nights): Head on to Mykonos, again by ferry, and you will arrive on surely the most glamourous of Greek islands. Known for its’ stylish, cosmopolitan and upmarket vibe, and with its boutique hotels, designer shops and A-list visitors, Mykonos is as glitzy as Greece can be.View Holiday

The gentle landscape is a blend of low, rocky hills and plenty of beaches. The south of the island has popular golden beaches sheltered from the wind whereas, the north is much quieter and with the reliable breeze, ideal for water sports. Mykonos Town is home to the iconic picturesque windmills as well as a labyrinth of streets and a colourful harbour. The island is known for its lively night scene including chic bars and excellent restaurants – and you can party the night away on the legendary Paradise and Super Paradise Beaches.
