Just a couple of hours’ drive away, this UNESCO World Heritage site offers dramatic sandstone cliffs, cascading waterfalls and dense eucalyptus forests. Explore walking trails, ride the scenic railway or enjoy panoramic views from the glass-bottomed Skyway. Don’t miss Echo Point at Katoomba, home to the famous Three Sisters rock formation. According to Aboriginal legend, these striking pinnacles represent three sisters turned to stone to protect them during a tribal conflict, and this haunting story adds even more magic to the view.
🚗 Blue Mountains – Hunter Valley (2 nights): Tear yourself away from the mountains and continue north to the Hunter Valley, Australia’s oldest and most celebrated wine region. Rising dramatically from the desert plains, this sacred monolith holds deep spiritual significance for the local Anangu people. Witness it at sunrise when the rock glows a deep red, or at sunset as it transforms through rich golden hues.
