✈️ UK – Santorini (4 nights): Arriving on the volcanic island of Santorini you’ll immediately be struck by its dramatic beauty. It boasts whitewashed villages clinging to high cliffs, blue-domed churches set against brilliant skies, and breathtaking sunsets over the Aegean. This striking scenery, combined with boutique hotels and intimate tavernas, has earned Santorini its romantic reputation. Formed by a massive volcanic eruption in the 16th century BC, the island’s rugged landscape and dramatic caldera are truly spectacular. The best sunset views are found in the clifftop village of Oia, where evening light reflects off the sea and whitewashed walls. Fira, the main town, is also perched high above the water, offering endless photo opportunities and charming cafés overlooking the caldera. While neither town is directly on the beach, Santorini’s distinctive volcanic coastline with its dark, shimmering sands, is well worth exploring.
🚢 Santorini – Naxos (5 nights): After your stay on Santorini, catch a ferry to the nearby island of Naxos, the largest in the Cyclades. Known for its long golden beaches and unspoilt charm, Naxos retains a wonderfully authentic feel reminiscent of the Greek islands of decades past. Take advantage of the gentle Cycladic winds with some windsurfing or other water sports, or simply relax and snorkel in the crystal-clear shallows before enjoying lunch at a shaded beach taverna. The island’s main town, Chora, is a maze of narrow lanes, whitewashed houses and hidden courtyards that all lead down to the bustling harbour. Inland, you’ll find a greener, more traditional side of Naxos, with over 25 miles of hiking trails through olive groves and mountain villages. Be sure to visit Halki, the former Venetian capital, known for its elegant architecture and local distillery.
🚢 Naxos – Mykonos (5 nights): Continue your island-hopping adventure with a ferry to glamorous Mykonos, Greece’s most stylish and cosmopolitan island. With boutique hotels, designer stores and a glittering nightlife scene, Mykonos is as chic as it is charming. The island’s southern beaches are lively and well sheltered, perfect for swimming and sunbathing, while the quieter northern coves are ideal for a peaceful escape or a bit of windsurfing. Mykonos Town, with its iconic windmills, labyrinthine alleys and colourful harbour, captures the island’s postcard-perfect appeal. As the sun sets, dine by the water or experience the famous nightlife at Paradise and Super Paradise Beaches, where the energy lasts well into the night.
