Optional Cape Cod extension: Hyannis/Martha’s Vineyard
✈️ UK to Boston (3 Nights): Your adventure begins in Boston, one of America’s most historic cities and the perfect starting point for exploring New England. Take in the sights along the famous Freedom Trail, a 2.5-mile route that will lead you through the city’s most iconic landmarks, including the Old North Church and Paul Revere’s House. Explore American history at the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum, where you can relive the events that started the revolution. For sports enthusiasts, a visit to Fenway Park (America’s oldest Major League Baseball stadium) is a must. Even if you don’t manage to watch a game, you take a behind the scenes tour of this legendary venue. Indulge in the local favourites of clam chowder, lobster rolls and Boston baked beans – and soak up the city’s many pubs and breweries, including the famous Cheers bar where “everyone knows your name”.
🚢 Optional extension Hyannis/ Martha’s Vineyard: For a bit of added magic you could include an extension to your trip by taking the ferry from Boston to Hyannis in Cape Cod, where you can explore the beautiful island of Martha’s Vineyard. Known for its rolling hills, charming villages, and iconic lighthouses, it’s the quintessential New England experience. Visit the picturesque town of Edgartown with its 19th-century buildings and peaceful harbour, or head to Vineyard Haven, a bustling port filled with galleries, little shops and excellent seafood restaurants. Oak Bluffs is another must-see, with its fairytale-like gingerbread cottages and lively atmosphere. If you’re taking the extension to Hyannis, you’ll take the bus rather than train to your next stop, Providence.
🚂 Boston to Providence (2 nights): Whether you arrive by train or bus, you’ll quickly realise that there is something quite unique about Providence. Renowned for its thriving arts scene, it’s home to the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), which has helped shape the city’s creative and artistic identity. You’ll find public art installations and colourful galleries dotted around the city’s streets and the RISD Museum which houses an impressive collection of art and design. Stroll down Benefit Street, where colonial homes have been carefully preserved, and wander along the RiverWalk, for beautiful views of the water.
🚂 Providence to Mystic (1 night): You’ll continue your journey via train to Mystic, Connecticut. Mystic’s maritime history is brought to life at the Mystic Seaport Museum, where you can step aboard historic ships and explore a recreated 19th-century village. Marine life lovers will enjoy the Mystic Aquarium, which offers the unique chance to get up close with sea creatures such as beluga whales, sea lions, and penguins. The town’s cobbled streets are a delight to wander, with boutique shops and little cafés lining the way. Stroll across the charming Mystic River Bascule Bridge, which still opens for passing boats, adding a touch of nostalgia.
🚂 Mystic to New Haven (1 night): Your next stop is the historic city of New Haven, Connecticut. Famed for being home to Yale University, the campus is a beautiful blend of Gothic architecture and modern buildings. Spend time exploring the Yale University Art Gallery, with its world-class collection, and the Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library, a stunning example of mid-20th-century architecture. History buffs will appreciate the Peabody Museum of Natural History, filled with fascinating exhibits on everything from dinosaurs to ancient civilisations. For a panoramic view of New Haven, take a trip to East Rock Park, where you can see the city and the surrounding region laid out in front of you. And no visit to New Haven is complete without sampling ‘apizza’, the city’s take on pizza, which is said to be the best in the country (according to locals!). It’s crispy, coal-fired, and utterly delicious.
🚂 New Haven to New York (3 nights): You’ll board your final train for the journey to New York, the electric city that famously never sleeps. You’ll have plenty of time to take in the city’s world-renowned landmarks including the Empire State Building, Times Square, and the Statue of Liberty, on Liberty Island. For an iconic New York experience, take a leisurely stroll across the Brooklyn Bridge, enjoying the sweeping views of Manhattan and Brooklyn. Don’t miss Central Park, where you can unwind, take a bike ride, or simply people-watch. Art and history lovers will love to explore the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the American Museum of Natural History, along with the 9/11 Memorial & Museum and the Guggenheim. New York’s energy truly comes alive in the evening, so when night falls, enjoy a show on Broadway, sip a cocktail at a rooftop bar or enjoy one of the many restaurants.
✈️ New York to UK: After exploring New England and New York, your holiday will come to an end, and you’ll head to the airport for your flight home to the UK.

We contacted eShores having visited the website to discuss a tailor made holiday to the Sporades islands. We spoke to one of the Travel Consultants, Kadie Ryan, who was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. We received a quote shortly following our conversation and with Kadie's help were able to book our holiday with ease the next day. We are very happy with our experience booking this holiday.

Fantastic Holiday. Just returned from a great South African holiday, Cape Town 3 nights, Pilanesberg Safari 3 nights and a week in Zanzibar. Big thanks to Chris again, his knowledge helped organise and plan this vacation. This is the second long haul holiday he has booked for us. Each holiday has been faultless even though we have changed the itinerary to suit . The Safari he recommended on this trip, Ivory Tree in Pilanesberg was 5 STAR and made the holiday, another tick on the bucket list. Eshores customer service is second to none. I recommended this company to my daughter who is presently on a Canadian fly drive with them and is thoroughly enjoying it. Based on previous experience Chris has now helped us book Australia, Hong Kong & Dubai for next February, can’t wait. All their trips are good value for money, would not have any hesitation in recommending them.

Very happy with what we booked, ( we asked for a trip/experience to Egypt), and Rachel put something together and within the budget we asked for. Once we reviewed it, we tweaked it several times for what we wanted in parts and Rachel did the rest. Very personable and pleasant to deal with. I think we will be looking at other experience holidays through E Shore in the future rather than your standard package holiday.

Booked with eshores last year. Holiday was excellent and everything ran smoothly. We had one problem with one of the transfers in which we missed the plane and had to pay for the next flight but that was sorted and refunded when we returned home. Booked with them again for next year. Matt has been extremely helpful (and patient. We are a nightmare). Eshores are very competetive and I would not hesitate in recommending them and I hope to be using them for years to come.
