✈️ UK to Delhi (1 night): You’ll be met at the airport in Delhi and escorted to your hotel… and then, your sightseeing can begin! There’s so much to see and do in this mesmerising capital, with highlights including the Bangla Sahib Gurudwara, Laxminarayan Temple, and Jhandewala Temple, the serenity of Akshardhaam Temple and the qawwali at Nizamuddin Chishti’s Dargah (a musical performance featuring devotional Sufi songs, known as qawwalis).

🚂 Delhi to Amritsar (2 nights): Next, you’ll take a train from Delhi to Amritsar, the city of the Golden Temple. Your two-night stay here includes a half day tour of the city, allowing you to explore the sacred Golden Temple and the Durgiana Temple. You can witness the daily ceremonies, taste kadha Prasad (a sacred offering in the Sikh tradition), and pay respects at Lal Mata Mandir, famous for its sacred pujas (a Hindu worship ritual).

🚗 Amritsar to McLeod Ganj (2 nights): For your next destination, you’ll be driven to McLeod Ganj, the home of the Dalai Lama. En route, you’ll enjoy the scenic drive as you’re escorted to this charming town nestled in the Himalayas. On arrival in McLeod Ganj you’ll have the opportunity to explore the Dalai Lama Temple, the ancient Shiva Temple, and the town’s vibrant local markets. Also discover the Kangra State Museum and Norbulingka Institute.

🚗 McLeod Ganj to Chandigarh (1 night): Your 8-hour drive will take you on a picturesque route as you descend from the Himalayan region of McLeod Ganj and to the plains where Chandigarh is located. Chandigarh is known as the City of Gardens, and here you can visit the Rock Garden, Rose Garden, Pinjore Garden, and take in the city’s wonderful architecture that creates a wonderful balance between concrete structures and natural beauty.

🚗 Chandigarh to Rishikesh (2 nights) You’ll continue your journey on land and head to Rishikesh, situated along the banks of the Ganges river, and often referred to as the ‘Yoga Capital of the World’ where you can soak up the city’s spiritual atmosphere. Here, some of the highlights include observing the Sandhya Aarti (a Hindu ritual of worship), exploring the ghats and walking on the iconic Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula bridges that carry deep historical and cultural significance in the context of Hindu mythology.

🚗 Rishikesh to Delhi (1 night): You’ll travel back to Delhi by car, where you can relax in your hotel or squeeze in some extra sightseeing before taking a final overnight rest.
