Itinerary

3 Nights – Porto
4 Nights – Lisbon
7 Nights – Algarve

UK – Porto: After a short flight from the UK, you’ll arrive in the charming city of Porto.  Once here, the itinerary is completely up to you, but a good place to start is to take a stroll around the historic centre of Porto, a UNESCO World Heritage Site full of architectural gems.  Food and drink will be an important part of your stay, so make sure you take a tour of one of the city’s many cellars which is a great way to learn more about this famous tipple plus indulge in one of the delicious local dishes such as bacalao (salt-cod).

🚆Porto – Lisbon: Embark on the next stage of your unforgettable Portuguese holiday, by taking train in Porto to the vibrant capital city of Lisbon, approximately 3 hours’ south.  Spend the next four nights discovering the winding cobblestone streets of the historic Alfama District, taking in the sweeping views of the city from Castelo de Sao Jorge, and enjoying the lively atmosphere, live music, and delectable food and drinks of the Baixa district. For a day trip, don’t miss the chance to soak up the sun and take a dip in the Atlantic at the breath-taking beaches of Cascais.

Lisbon – Algarve:  After experiencing the vibrant culture of Lisbon, it’s time to board the short flight to Faro, the gateway to the Algarve. This Mediterranean paradise offers 100 miles of pristine blue flag beaches, world-renowned golf courses, and stunning cliffs with crystal clear turquoise waters ideal for surfing, windsurfing, and other water sports. One of the most popular stretches of beach is the 6km long Praia de Falesia, located between Albufeira and Vilamoura with a large variety of top-class hotels. Alternatively, you may wish to stay in the luxurious resort of Quinta da Lago, famed for its fine dining and high-end shopping. For something a little more rugged, consider the picturesque harbour and beaches of Sagres in the southwest of the Algarve.

Algarve (Faro) – UK:  Board the flight home to the UK, refreshed and content after a wonderful Portuguese getaway.
