This exclusive all suite resort ambles gently upward from the sparkling waters of the bay following the natural incline of the landscape so that most suites have a spectacular sea view and many also look out over the 80 metre lagoon-style swimming pool, which is the central feature guarded by towering palm trees. All that is best in Cypriot architecture and local materials has been used. Sloping roofs and graceful arches are predominant, as is the use of natural wood and stone, and the specially reclaimed terracotta roof tiles give the whole project a nicely aged and traditional look. Location: Columbia Beach Resort is a sophisticated property in Pissouri Bay, situated midway between Limassol and Paphos and approximately 4km from the traditional village of Pissouri, which lies nestled in the hills behind the bay.

Facilities: As well as the hotels impressive pool, there’s plenty on offer for active guests. The hotel offers two squash courts, two floodlit tennis courts, a fitness centre as well as a water sports centre. The Secret Valley and Aphrodite Hills golf courses are just a short 15-minute drive away, while the Tsada golf course is a 40-minute drive. The three 18-hole championship golf courses all offer practice facilities, golf clinics and individual lessons and reduced green fees are available for guests. For pampering the hotel has an amazing spa with sauna, steam bath, Jacuzzi and hot & cold plunge pools. For children there’s a large children’s pool and a children’s club which offers an action-packed programme of games and competitions for young guests during the summer school holidays and over the Christmas period. The resort’s courtesy bus service also operates at set times to the towns of Limassol and Paphos for shopping and sightseeing and also to the three nearby golf courses.
