Description

Location: Little Dix Bay is situated on a secluded crescent shaped three-quarter-mile stretch of beach on the British Virgin Island of Virgin Gorda. To get to the island, you need to take a 30-minute transfer by catamaran from Tortola at Beef Island Airport.

Facilities: Sink into one of the comfortable sun loungers next to one of the hotel’s two pools, or head down to the stunning beach for a spot of snorkelling. To explore some of the beaches further afield, the hotel offers a complimentary ‘beach drop’ service to one of the seven secluded beaches near to the hotel. You will be transferred by boat to your choice of beach where the hotel will set up your umbrella, towels and snorkel equipment. Pure bliss. For more relaxation time, head to the hotel’s full-service spa which is stunningly located on a cliff-edge and offers a range of treatments. For children, there is a complimentary ‘Rosebuds for Kids’ children’s club and for those wanting to do something active, there is a fitness centre and tennis courts.

Bars and Restaurants: The hotel boasts 3 restaurants and 1 bar. ‘The Sugar Mill’ serves Pan-Asian and European food in a romantic, intimate setting, while the Pavilion is perfect for alfresco buffet breakfasts and lunches and a la carte dinners with a wonderful view of Little Dix Bay. The Beach Grill serves up local ingredients right next to the calm waters and powdery sand of the Bay. For a cocktail or two, visit the Pavilion Bar where you can also enjoy snacks and afternoon tea.

Rooms: Dotted around the resort, the 100 guest rooms, cottages, suites and villas offer understated elegance and have air conditioning, a mini bar and CD player. All rooms have their own balcony or terrace from which to enjoy the idyllic setting of the island. There are no TVs on the resort, nor indeed any locks on the room doors, but that’s part of the charm and simplicity of the resort…. And the reason that so many people return here year after year.
