Description
New Delhi, with its wide boulevards, colonial buildings and lush gardens was built as the imperial capital and was largely designed by British architect Edwin Lutyens. In stark contrast, Old Delhi, is filled with character and general disorder, with its winding streets and rickshaws fighting for space.
One of the most popular tourist sites is the 17th Century Red Fort in Old Delhi, built as a royal palace for Emperor Shah Jahan. The Jama Masjid, the principal mosque of Old Delhi is also a sight not to be missed but is best to arrive early to avoid the crowds. Other places to visit include: the Humayun tomb, Akshardham Temple, Qutub Minar, the National Museum, Lotus Temple and President House. For a shopping experience completely out of the ordinary, take in the amazing smells and sights of the wholesale spice market in Khari Baoli. If all of that sightseeing has left you exhausted and you feel the need for some serenity, take a stroll around the tranquil Lodhi Gardens.

Booked with eshores last year. Holiday was excellent and everything ran smoothly. We had one problem with one of the transfers in which we missed the plane and had to pay for the next flight but that was sorted and refunded when we returned home. Booked with them again for next year. Matt has been extremely helpful (and patient. We are a nightmare). Eshores are very competetive and I would not hesitate in recommending them and I hope to be using them for years to come.
