✈ UK – Boston (3 nights): After your flight from the UK to Boston, you will collect your car and then have 3 nights to enjoy this exhilarating city. With a storied history spanning decades, walk the 2.5 mile Freedom Trail to explore all of its historical sites. As well as sampling the city’s history, you can take in a game at Fenway Park, home of the illustrious Boston Red Sox. Enjoy breathtaking views of the city from the Prudential Center and visit the world-renowned Harvard University before enjoying delicious cuisine at the local restaurants.
🚗 Boston – Bar Harbor / Arcadia National Park (2 nights): Leaving Boston you will drive to Bar Harbor, which offers some of the most tranquil spots in the whole of New England. Walking enthusiasts can also enjoy the Shore Path and Ocean Trail routes where they can take a step back in time and enjoy some of the east coast’s most breathtaking sights. The Acadia National Park is 47,000 acres of coastal beauty that crosses over into Mount Desert Island. The environment is made up of large mountains, woodlands, lakes and the gorgeous Cadillac Mountain, which is one of the first areas to see the sunrise in the whole of the US.
🚗 Bar Harbor – North Conway / White Mountains (2 nights): Driving on to North Conway you’ll visit one of the most ethereal areas of New England, where historical artefacts and vast shopping districts exist alongside each other to provide the perfect mix between a relaxing break and a busy city holiday. Whether you are interested in taking on challenging hikes or winding down and trying the latest food, there are plenty of options in the area. For the second part of the trip, you will be taking in more outstanding beauty at the White Mountains, where there are stunning views of the local area that allow visitors to truly explore nature at its finest.
🚗 North Conway – Ludlow (1 night): Your next stop of Ludlow, Vermont, is a winter paradise towards the end of the year and looks just as extraordinary in the summer. In your one-night stay, you could decide to take a proactive approach and try to do as much as possible, or simply sit back and marvel at astonishing sights such as the Okemo Mountain Resort and Buttermilk Falls, where hikers can explore their unbelievable surroundings and take advantage of the once-in-a-lifetime photo opportunities.
🚗 Ludlow – Springfield (1 night): Springfield has strong ties with basketball and is the current home of the basketball hall of fame, but this is just one of many reasons why Springfield is a wonderful destination for travellers. Based on the shores of the Connecticut River, Springfield is full of sites to explore for history buffs and offers a wonderfully peaceful environment for tourists to relax as part of their tour.
🚗 Springfield – Providence, Rhode Island (2 nights): After a few days away from it all, you’ll then drive to Providence and be thrown straight back into city life, while still enjoying that New England charm Rhode Island is known for. With a range of museums, theatres and walks, there’s plenty to do. As well as attractions such as the Roger Williams Zoo and the Riverwalk.
🚗 Providence – Cape Cod (2 nights): Cape Cod is a stretch of land off the coast of Massachusetts. With luscious beaches, great food and plenty of outdoor activities available, Cape Cod has become a favourite for tourists, especially in the summer months. In two nights here, there are plenty of things to do. Whether you want to go for a relaxing stroll on the beach, try your hand at kayaking or go whale watching, there are lots of options. Even away from the shoreline, you can look at exceptional pieces at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum and enjoy the delicious local seafood.
🚗 Cape Cod – Plymouth (1 night): For the final stop of your New England road trip, Plymouth is an excellent place to end your holiday. Packed with gorgeous scenery and majestic history, the town is a fantastic spot to relax and enjoy the laid-back coastal lifestyle. With numerous artefacts dating back hundreds of years and the town being one of the US’ first ever settlements it really is fascinating. Sites such as Plymouth Rock and Pilmouth Plantation give visitors a detailed insight into the lives of pilgrims from the 1600s.
✈ Plymouth – UK: On your final day, you will drive back to Boston Airport to drop off your car, and catch your flight back to the UK.

Hannah and the team did an excellent job of organising our holiday in Italy, even informing us about a train strike while we there and booking us on to a coach instead. They gave us helpful directions from the airport to the hotel. The accommodation was very good with spacious rooms, delicious breakfasts and helpful receptionists giving us directions to the city centres. All in all we had a brilliant time.
