Head to South Beach to sip cocktails and soak up the Miami sunshine. If you get peckish, why not head over to Nikki Beach Club for a fancy champagne lunch, or to get the party started early visit one of the many beach clubs.

If you are all about the night-life then head down to one of Miami’s dusk till dawn clubs such as Cameo, a renovated Art Deco Theatre that is a favourite for superstar DJ’s. Alternatively try LIV, a well-known playground for the rich and famous. If you’re more into dining out, get all dressed up and treat yourself to a fancy meal at the Forge, once visited by the likes of Judy Garland, Frank Sinatra and Richard Nixon, this steak house still holds all the glamour it did in the 40’s!

For something more cultured, Miami’s art scene is thriving. As well as the famous Perez Art Museum and The Institute of Contemporary Art, there are many unique galleries popping up which are well worth exploring – The Wynwood Walls graffiti murals are not to be missed.

If you want a little ‘you time’, the Key Biscayne is a beautiful secluded beach overlooking Miami. This beach doesn’t have much to offer in the way of shops and restaurants but it does offer some much needed peace and tranquillity. If you head to the east of the Key you will find some picnic and BBQ areas to relax and watch the sunset.

For something a little different, a day trip to the Everglades is a great way to explore the wildlife Florida is famous for, or for some Latino flavours and a cool Cuban vibe head to little Havana.
