Vancouver Island offers an array of activities and experiences that will make you feel a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of nearby Vancouver. It boasts a stunning wilderness, with everything on offer from exploring BC’s capital Victoria and wine tasting in Cowichan Valley to seeing Grizzly Bears and going on whale watching trips.

Description

Spend a day exploring Victoria’s beautiful Inner Harbour, with its many cafes, bars and restaurants. Wander around and take in the colourful fishing boats and floating homes that fill the harbour, visit the Royal British Columbia Museum and the Parliament Buildings and you may even get to see whales out to sea whilst enjoying your morning coffee.

Wine Tasting in Cowichan Valley tops many visitors’ lists of things to do. It’s situated in the heart of Vancouver Island, just 50 miles from Victoria so it’s easily accessible and boasts 17 different wineries to sample. There’s also many hiking and bike trails, art galleries and you can even play a game of golf, so it’s not just about the valley’s wine.

You should also visit the Pacific Rim National Park, this beautiful coastline is the only national park entirely on Vancouver Island and offers amazing rainforest and marine life. You can also do some great dolphin and whale watching trips from here, along with going kayaking and canoeing on one of the rivers.

There are so many other beautiful places on offer too, such as Long Beach, Beacon Hill Park and Butchart Gardens. You can also be one with nature on the Wild Pacific Trail, this trail will take you through the beautiful paths and bring you face to face with the local wildlife.
