Description
Location: Situated in Kiwengwa, on the eastern coast of Zanzibar and only around 40km from its international airport. This resort is set in thirty acres of one of the most renowned beaches on the continent.
Facilities: The resort has two fresh water swimming pools and offers a multitude of watersports including windsurfing, kayaking and snorkelling. You may even like to go swimming with the dolphins or turtles! Unlike many resorts on the island, the hotel has its own entertainment team, organising quizzes, discos and acrobatic shows. The resort also has two boutiques to ensure that you leave stocked with gifts, selling antiques and traditional books and clothing.
Restaurants & Bars: There are four bars and three restaurants, both indoors and out, overlooking the Indian Ocean. Dishes from around the world are freshly prepared, providing diners with top class food in stunning surroundings guaranteed to whet your appetite. Fresh spices are used in the cooking, brought in especially from local spice farms. The two pool bars mean you never even have to get out of the water to enjoy that long, cool cocktail.
Accommodation: There are 150 guest rooms and four VIP suites within the hotel, with a choice of king sized or twin beds. All rooms have superb views and include satellite TV and mini fridge. In addition, the VIP suites have private balcony, plasma TV, Jacuzzi, living area and minibar.

My wife and I are independant travellers who did not want to be part of a larger tour group although we needed some help with the itinerary - flights, hotels, transfers etc. This is where eShores came in to the picture. I found the entire booking process to be a very positive experience primarily because we were assigned a dediacted travel advisor who remained with us as the sole point of contact throughout the entire process. Kelly was friendly, knowledgeable and responded back to any query promptly. We discussed some initial ideas over the phone and then she e-mailed me various options and we finally selected a trip to Cambodia and South Vietnam. Overall a brilliant service from Kelly and the eShores team (ps We are yet to take the trip but will report back on how the itinerary works out in practical terms when we head out in 2026)
