Description
Location: Tijara Beach is sited on a cliff-top above its own private beach, around 6km south of Mombasa Island in Pungu. The nearest international airport is Moi, approximately 45 minutes’ drive from the hotel.
Facilities: A particular favourite with golfers, Tijara Beach is close to Mombasa’s three main golf courses. Tours to Mombasa and Kenya’s National Parks can also be arranged, whilst bird watching, cave exploring or even deep sea diving and fishing are popular pursuits.
Restaurants & Bars: The main dining area offers al fresco feasting, although guests also have the option of dining on their verandah or on the cliff top itself. The food is fresh and the chef is more than happy to take individual requests for dishes.
Accommodation: In all of the cottages, the bedrooms are complimented by ceiling fans and the bathrooms open out on to your own private deck, ensuring that you’re kept cool and refreshed, luxuriating in the sounds of the ocean.

My wife and I are independant travellers who did not want to be part of a larger tour group although we needed some help with the itinerary - flights, hotels, transfers etc. This is where eShores came in to the picture. I found the entire booking process to be a very positive experience primarily because we were assigned a dediacted travel advisor who remained with us as the sole point of contact throughout the entire process. Kelly was friendly, knowledgeable and responded back to any query promptly. We discussed some initial ideas over the phone and then she e-mailed me various options and we finally selected a trip to Cambodia and South Vietnam. Overall a brilliant service from Kelly and the eShores team (ps We are yet to take the trip but will report back on how the itinerary works out in practical terms when we head out in 2026)
