If you’re visiting Jordan, whether you just want to go straight to the beach, visit all of Jordan’s attractions or want to combine your stay in Jordan with a visit to another country, we can help.
Most flights take you in to the country’s capital Amman, so it’s definitely worth having a night or two there to explore the ancient city of Jerash, visit the citadel and the Roman theatre.
Next we’d recommend taking a drive down the King’s Highway where you can visit Madaba, home to a Byzantine mosaic map, see Mount Nebo where Moses first viewed the Holy Land and the Castle of Kerak.
If you continue to Petra you will be able to visit Jordan’s most famous attraction, a ‘lost city’ only recently rediscovered by explorer Burckhardt. A city carved from red rock over 2,000 years ago. Petra is a truly magical, home to awe-inspiring structures such as the Treasury (from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade), the Monastery, as well as sites such as the beautiful Ottoman Village of Dana, renowned for its views and flora & fauna, and the castle at Shobak.
If you have time we’d also recommend a few days at the Dead Sea as its one of the most unique places on earth. The high levels of salt in the Dead Sea create a unique floating sensation meaning it’s impossible to sink!, whilst the nutrients of the famous Dead Sea mud are used to great effect at the local health spas. The dramatic landscape, peaceful waters and salt-encrusted shoreline also make for a wonderful environment in which to simply relax and breathe in the highly-oxygenated air.
After the Dead Sea or as an alternative why not end your Jordan experience with a trip to the Red Sea. With resorts like Aqaba and Tala Bay just a short drive away it would be a shame not to. These resorts offer stunning settings in which to relax and enjoy the luxurious 5 star resorts.

So impressed with Eshores. Chris Eaves handles our arrangements and we have just booked our fifth holiday with him. Leanne was a delight to work with, proactively suggesting options, whilst remembering they had to be practical. What I appreciated most was how responsive and efficient Leanne was. Everything was handled promptly. Even though we haven’t taken the trip yet, I already feel confident that things will run smoothly thanks to the excellent groundwork that Leanne put in place.

I’ve now lost count of the trips I’ve booked with Gavin at e-shores and how he always manages to know exactly what we like and gets a great price - always the same or less than I research myself. Our latest was Greek island hopping to Mykonos, Paros, Naxos and Santorini and the hotels Gavin booked were all outstanding and the typically small, boutique hotels with less crowds. We went out of season (1st - 13th Sept) and everything went smoothly from the airport transfers, the welcome we had at each hotel and the beauty of each island having its own magic. Looking forward to the next trip already booked through Gavin in November! Thank you everyone-shores - the Napiers!

Claire Smith offered invaluable support in arranging our travel by air to Portugal pluse trains around the country, offering a choice of three hotels in every stop. She expanded our initial thoughts of Lisbon and Porto to include fantastic destinations that we would not have thought of - Guimaraes, Aveiro and Sintra. And she suggested tours we might enjoy. She listened. She selected hotels on the basis of what we told her we would like, from the feel of them to their location and the facilities they had. She was on the end of the phone when I needed her and made me feel there would be help at the end of the phone in an emergency abroad. We're looking forward to our getaway, secure in the knowledge it has been tailor maide to our requirements.
