Description

Location: This resort is located on the border of the Liwa Desert, also known as the the Empty Quarter or Rub’ Al Khali and is the largest stretch of sand in the world. The resort is located approx. 2 hours from Abu Dhabi airport or 3 hours from Dubai airport.

Facilities: The hotel has all you need for a relaxing, luxurious break. Splash about in the infinity free-form pool, surrounded by palm trees and a fabulous view, or unwind at the hotel’s Anantara Thai spa with 6 treatment rooms and hammam. If you’re feeling a bit more energetic, guests can make use of the tennis courts or gym. There is a kids club for children aged between 3-12 years and, if you want to explore the desert, the hotel has a Desert Excursion Centre which organises treks across the desert on camels, dune bashing and organised walks.

Bars and Restaurants: The hotel’s main restaurant, Al Waha, serves up Middle Eastern and international food which can be taken either indoors in the cool air-conditioned environment or outside on the terrace with its stunning sand dune panorama. The Suhail is a steak house/bar which provides the ideal place for sipping sunset cocktails. For escaping the afternoon heat with something long and cool, the hotel bar ‘Al Liwan’ offers local pastries and refreshing drinks.

Accommodation: The guest rooms are simply stunning, featuring luxurious middle eastern fabrics and rich, earthy colours. Each room opens out onto a terrace or balcony from which to enjoy the incredible desert views.
