Itinerary

3 Nights – Budapest
2 Nights – Vienna
3 Nights – Prague

✈ UK – Budapest (3 Nights): You will take a flight from the UK to Budapest where we will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel in Budapest where you will stay for the following 3 nights. Budapest is a charming, romantic city, with a deep history. The mighty river Danube runs straight through it, separating the city into two distinct areas. Buda is the more historical side, with sights such as the 13th Century Buda castle, the beautiful Matthias Church and the Fisherman’s Bastion to explore. On the other side of the river, the Pest area has a more hip, young feel with trendy bars and cafes and has only formally existed since 1873. Sights to visit include the impressive Parliament building, Vajdahunyan Castle in City Park and Heroes Square which is surrounded by museums. Whilst in Budapest, a stroll along the Danube Promenade is a great way to spend a couple of hours, alternatively take a boat trip along the river for a romantic view of the city.

🚂 Budapest – Vienna (2 Nights): On your final day in Budapest, you will take the train to Vienna (approx. 2 hrs 45 mins) where you will stay for the next 2 nights in this delightful Austrian city. Vienna has a rich musical tradition with the likes of Mozart, Beethoven Strauss and Brahms once residing here and musical events, operas and the theatre play a big part in its culture today. Vienna is a compact city and is relatively easy to get round to explore its major sights. Some of the must see landmarks are St Stephen’s Cathedral and the Schonbrumm Palace and Hofburg Palace. If you need a rest from sightseeing, take a break at a Viennese coffee house for an authentic taste of local life.

🚂 Vienna – Prague (3 Nights): Your final destination on this multi city break is the fascinating city of Prague in the Czech Republic. You will take a train from Vienna to Prague (approx. 4 hours 45 mins) where you will stay at your hotel for the following 3 nights. Prague is full of intriguing history and incredible architecture and some must-see sights include The 15th Century Charles Bridge, the Astronomical Clock on the Town Hall and the Prague Castle which dominates the city’s skyline. For something more unusual, visit the John Lennon Wall in the Lesser Town which is a swathed in graffiti paintings, poems and words by peace activists centred around a large image of John Lennon’s face who, despite never having visited Prague, became a pacifist hero for the young after his death in the 1980s. Prague has a lively café culture, and for a quintessential Prague experience, stop for a coffee at one the city’s most loved cafes such as the grand Café Louvre or the slightly more bric-a-brac Café Montmartre in the Old Town.

✈ Prague – UK: On the final day of your holiday, you will be picked up from your hotel and taken back to the airport for your flight home to the UK.
