Reminiscent of a scene out of Star Wars, Mowani is remote and decidedly peaceful. Its lunar landscape is truly awe inspiring. This is an experience which must absolutely not be missed. Located in some of the most stunning scenery we’ve ever seen, Mowani Mountain Camp embodies the concept of luxury.

Description

Location: Mowani is located between the Ugab and Huab rivers in the stunning surroundings of south Damaraland. It is accessed via a one hour internal flight from Windhoeks Eros Domestic Airport to Twyfelfontein Airstrip, near to the camp.

Facilities: It may be remote, but there is nothing basic about the resort. There is a swimming pool for those looking to cool off in the dusty heat, whilst hiking and guided nature drives to track down elephants are very popular. An excursion not to be missed is a visit to Twyfelfontein to see the historic Bushmen’s carvings and paintings.

Restaurants & Bars: There is a restaurant, a bar and a lounge which overlooks a watering hole so you’re guaranteed constant entertainment!

Accommodation: There are 12 luxury tents with a difference. All have beautiful bed linen, ensuite facilities and private wooden verandah. In addition, “The Suite” is built upon a rocky outcrop, giving outstanding views. The Suite has its own lounge with music centre and satellite TV, private dining room, bar and even its own butler service.
