Itinerary

2 Nights Rome
3 Nights Tuscany
2 Nights Florence

✈UK – Rome (2 Nights): On the arrival of your flight from the UK to Rome, we will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel, where you will stay for the following 2 nights. From the architectural treasures of the Colosseum, the Pantheon, Saint Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican City, the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps, you will have no trouble filling your days in Rome! Aside from these fabulous landmarks, Rome is a wonderful place to amble in and out of the stunning piazzas and little side streets, stopping for an espresso every now and again to watch the world go by!

🚗 Rome – Tuscany (3 Nights): On the morning of your last day in Rome, you will pick up your hire car from the local depot and drive to Tuscany where you will stay for the following 3 nights at a hotel of your choice. Images of Tuscany conjure up rolling hills, pretty towns perched on hilltops, cobbled streets and vineyards and a relaxed, convivial way of life. One of the region’s main visitor attractions is the small but perfectly formed medieval hilltop village of San Gimignano, with its square tower houses and magnificent architecture and piazzas. You must also visit the wine region of Chianti, where you can sample some of the local wine and marvel at the picture perfect panoramic vistas of this beautiful region. Another tourist favourite is the pretty village of Figline Valdarno, known for its Pleistocene fossils.

🚗 Tuscany – Florence (2 Nights): After your time in Florence, you will continue your journey by road onto Tuscany’s capital city of Florence, where you will stay for 2 nights. Situated on the banks of the Arno river, Florence is the birthplace of the Renaissance and is an art-lover’s dream, being home to a number of world-class art galleries such as the Uffizi Gallery which has an amazing collection of Renaissance sculptures and paintings by the likes of da Vinci, Francesca and Botticelli. You can also see famous works of art at the Palatina Gallery and the Accademia Gallery, which has Michelangelo’s masterpiece ‘David’ and many other splendid works of art. A large part of Florence is pedestrianised, so perfect for exploring on foot. Take in the sights of the Piazza della Signoria, the Palazzo Vecchio and the Piazza del Duomo whilst enjoying this beautifully preserved mediaeval city. Another ‘must-see’ is the Basilica di San Miniato al Monte which is situated just outside the city, on the top of a hill, but is well worth the trip for the incredible views and architecture.

✈Florence – UK: On your final day in Florence, you will drive back to Pisa airport where you will drop off your car and take your flight to the UK.
