Location: Around 118km south west of Arusha, Tarangire Sopa Lodge is accessible via a short 20 minute flight.
Description: The Tarangire National Park, although one of the lesser known parks in Tanzania, has the greatest concentration of elephants in Africa. It is also home to the beautiful leopard.
The lodge has its own swimming pool, bar and restaurant.
Accommodation: There are 75 rooms, all with private lounge area and minibar. The beds are queen sized and include mosquito netting; and all rooms have French glass doors opening out onto a private balcony from which you can watch the wildlife at your leisure.
Our Opinion: If it’s elephants you’re after, you could do no better than stay at Tarangire Sopa Lodge. A more peaceful, relaxed resort, it is nevertheless an excellent place to unwind and enjoy the African landscape.
