The Malaysian Experience: If you’re heading to Malaysia then Kuala Lumpur is the perfect place to start - a perfect blend of modern sky-scrapers and bustling street markets. The dramatic Petronas Twin Towers and KL Tower set it apart from all other cities - whilst glamorous shopping centres contrast starkly with numerous colonial buildings, palaces, mosques and temples. Spending 2 nights here is usually ample however if you can spare another day then you’ll find plenty to fill your time.
After leaving Kuala Lumpur there are various places to visit next, how many you visit and which order is up to you but we’d recommend first visiting Borneo, one of Malaysia’s most popular destinations. The highlight of any trip to Borneo has to be visiting the orang-utans sanctuaries; however with a wealth of activities on offer, jungle to explore and various stunning beaches your days can be as active or as relaxed as you want them to be.
You may well choose to spend all your days in Borneo however why not complete your Malaysian experience by visiting one of Malaysia most beautiful islands - Langkawi. It offers a range of luxurious hotels to choose from and every one on a stunning stretch of powder white soft sands, the perfect ending to your holiday.
If however Langkawi is too quiet then Penang maybe a more suitable alternative. Still offering great beaches but a livelier nightlife Penang offers fun and relaxation.
Flying home you would need to fly back via one of the Far Eastern cities so if you fancy breaking the flight up with another city break, why not have a couple of nights in Singapore. A modern city offering great shopping opportunities and even better dinning options.
