The Jordan Experience:
If you’re visiting Jordan, whether you just want to go straight to the beach, visit all of Jordan’s highlights or want to combine Jordan with another country we can help.
As you’re flying in to Amman it’s a great chance to have a night or two there to explore the ancient city of Jerash, visit the citadel and the Roman theatre.
Next it’s worth taking a drive down the King's Highway where you can visit Madaba, home to a Byzantine mosaic map, see Mount Nebo where Moses first viewed the Holy Land and the castle of Kerak.
If you continue to Petra you will be able to visit Jordan’s most famous attraction, a ‘lost city’ only recently rediscovered by explorer Burkhardt. A city carved from red rock over 2,000 years ago. Petra is a truly magical, home to awe-inspiring structures such as the Treasury (from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade), the Monastery, as well as sites such as the beautiful Ottoman village of Dana, renowned for its views and flora & fauna, and the castle at Shobak.
If you have time we’d also recommend a few days at the Dead Sea as it’s one of the most unique places on earth. The high levels of salt in the Dead Sea create a unique floating sensation meaning it's impossible to sink!, whilst the nutrients of the famous Dead Sea mud are used to great effect at the local health spas. The dramatic landscape, peaceful waters and salt-encrusted shoreline also make for a wonderful environment in which to simply relax and breathe in the highly-oxygenated air.
After the Dead Sea or as an alternative why not end your Jordan experience with a trip to the Red Sea. With resorts like Aqaba and Tala Bay just a short drive away it would be a shame not to. These resorts offer stunning settings in which to relax and enjoy the luxurious 5 star resorts.
