Location: This 5 star property is an ideal family resort on Mauritius west coast. Sugar beach is enviably located in beautiful gardens next to the powder white sandy beach with incredible views of the Indian Ocean.
Description: The Sugar Beach shares it facilities with sister hotel La Pirogue, the resort has many facilities to keep everyone entertained. By day why not indulge in the organic spa or take a swim in one of the generous free form pools. For the more active take a dive course or go horse riding and mountain bike riding, as well as non motorised watersports catamaran cruises and water polo. Sugar Beach also provides nightly entertainment, children’s and teen clubs. In evening sample some of the local cuisine in one of the four restaurants which include specialties such as seafood. Afterwards socialise with other guests in one of the sic bars or wander over to La Pirogue and use its restaurants and bars.
Accommodation: There are 258 air-conditioned rooms. The standard rooms sleep upto 2 adults and 2 children and have a flat screen satellite televisions, WIFI internet access, minibar, tea/coffee making facilities, safe and balcony or terrace with garden or sea view. The superior villas and villa suite are located on the ground floor and have a DVD player with separate shower and open upto a terrace with a day bed.
You have the option of upgrading to All Inclusive. This includes buffet breakfast, buffet or a la carte lunch and dinner at selected restaurants and selection of locally produced alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks including mini bar, afternoon tea and snacks and selected land and watersports.
Our Opinion: Good for somebody that likes a luxurious hotel with the option to venture out into the local resort. The sugar beach is great for all the family with children’s and teens clubs also many activities for everyone to enjoy.
